Fits my Dyson V8 vacuum and charger no problem! Used it today to clean a large portion of the house. It seems to have the same suction strength, and so far no change in duration of charge. Time will tell if I it holds up as well as the factory battery, which was working great after 2 years of frequent use (until daughter knocked it over and cracked the battery base....) The only curious observation (not necessarily a complaint), is when the trigger is held down.... it takes my vacuum about half a second to a second for the suction to come on. With my original battery, as soon as the trigger was squeezed, the vacuum turned on. Huh? But! Since batteries aren't available anymore on the Dyson website for my unit, this is an excellent alternative.

Before I installed the new battery I completely cleaned the V8. I let it dry over night. After install the battery works like a champ. I was able to vacuume downstairs and upstairs and still had battery life. I will update if the life is less than acceptable but for now it is awesome. After two months of using this battery and having to pull the trigger very hard it is no not working well at all. Stay away from this product and buy a different brand

The battery works and fits for the most part; it looks and is almost identical to the factory battery except the triggering mechanism isn't as precise as Dyson's original. You have to squeeze on it harder for it to work so, it loses the quick/easy triggering function it originally had. I ended up returning it because of that. It does fit and work otherwise, also power seemed equivalent. Probably not great for arthritis sufferers.

I needed a replacement battery for my cordless Dyson V8, but didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg. This battery works great! I was able to vacuum my whole house on Max and it never lost power. My original 18 month old battery would only last 10 minutes on Low before I had to charge it again. Not sure how long it will last, but for this price if I get at least a year out of it, it’ll be worth it. This only negative is that it has a delay start when you press the button . It’s only a second or two, just weird, but once it starts, it does it’s job!

I read the reviews about the delay when you squeeze the trigger, and didn't love that. But I figured it would be worth it for the extra battery life. The battery life was defiantly better, but the thing started cycling on and off while on the charger. It was like it was possessed. I tried flipping the trigger a few times, thinking it might just be stuck, but to no avail. Something in the logic board is clearly not right. Had to return it. Now I'm stuck with the old crappy battery and wish there was another option.

Installed this battery, the vacuum ran continuously and could not be shut off with the trigger. Removed it and found the mechanism on the battery, that contacts the vacuum trigger was sticking. This is an internal problem within the plastic housing of this battery. Sometimes "Made in China" turns out to be OK buy not this time. Great service on returning it but I would not buy this brand again.

The battery lasted 5 months and 17 days... Not what I was expecting. But easy install and suction was good. I am looking to buy a genuine battery pack though. Won’t be looking for cheap alternative for expensive products.
