You won't believe how this keeps the rain out!
We bought this at the last minute, for a camp trip to Alaska. Our main idea was to use it to keep out mosquitoes - which it did perfectly. It's big enough to put up over a picnic table, plus have room to walk around and a couple camp chairs besides. What surprised me was how well it stood up to some massive rainstorms in Denali. The mesh, designed for bugs, also caught the water - and amazingly, with just the little blue plastic cap and 4 screen walls, everything inside stayed dry! This with intense squalls. We did have to rope it up on all sides, both at the base and at the screen/tarp interface (same as you'd do w/ a tent in a storm.) After about 6 weeks of putting it up and down, plus every kind of weather, it started to wear at the corners - slight separation of the plastic which we fixed w/ duct tape. OK, it's not a Northface Everest tent...but for the price, this thing was amazing. I think we'll get another few months out of it (w/ a little more duct tape repair) and really, for the price, that is an excellent deal!!

perfect!
Great screen tent! I shopped around quite a bit before settling on this one and I'm glad I did. Make sure you have your own stakes to hold it down though - the cheapy metal ones it comes with slide right out of the dirt. We like the no nonsense yellow plastic tent pegs. There is no flooring (I see that question asked a lot) but we didn't want one. The tent walls go all the way down to the ground and have a little flap that lays flat to the ground to prevent bugs from coming in. The mesh is tiny -- keeps the bugs out!! and The roof is very high - taller than what I had as a kid growing up - and the size fits easily around a standard picnic table (and then some). We even used our lantern inside of it, and citronella candles, without any problems at all (just be sensible and careful)! Great purchase! Can't wait to go camping again next year!

Nice Product
Bought this for camping and used it for the first time this weekend. It worked well at an uneven, rocky site. The stakes that came with the shelter worked surprisingly well, but would recommend packing some steel tent spikes and sticking them in the carry bag "just in case". A nice surprise was the hook in the center of the ceiling of the shelter. We hung our lantern from it while we played cards(NOT a propane lantern, an electric one). Must have two people to put it together. It goes up and comes down with ease and it fits nicely into the carry bag.**UPDATE**We've used this thing a lot this summer and have really enjoyed it. Last weekend we took it camping on the coast and, for the first time, had it up in high wind. It was pretty much touch and go all weekend as to whether or not the tent would turn into a giant kite regardless of how solidly we had it staked down. With the 4 corners, 4 sides and 4 guy lines all firmly staked down it didn't blow away. It did lean and distort quite a bit in the heavier gusts, but we've still got it.As a general note; the tent will just barely fit around the picnic tables at all 6 campsites where we've used it. It makes it a little difficult to stand at the end of the table and cook on a propane stove. You not only have to be careful of the heat off the stove, but you've got to stand hunched over while cooking. I still like it and stand by the "4 Star" rating.

Not a bad little shelter, but not sure I'd buy again
Two years ago we had a camping disaster when we were caught in the rain, so before our trip last summer, I thought we'd buy this just in case. Lo and behold, it rained on us again! 4 adults had this up in less than 10 minutes and it kept us dry until the storm passed. It fit over a standard campground wooden picnic table, with a little room on the edges to tuck our coolers in. However, because the edges slope out, the corners and about two feet all the way around are not protected from rain. The joints were a little awkward to put together, and when we disassembled it, we found that two of them had cracked. I haven't yet tried to contact the company to see if they will replace them. It was nice to have when we were in a bind, but I'm not sure I'd buy this model again.

Great Screen.... love full enclosure!
Wow! what a great price for this item. The first time we used this one of the "arm" pieces broke slightly. still able to use but still.... the first time. I contacted Texsport CS and they responded VERY quickly and sent me a free replacement part. We have used this several times now.... love the fact that is has screened sides. At night when campfires were not allowed in our area due to wildfire dangers and the only light available was from lanterns this kept the bugs to a much much lower level. The family could sit inside and play games and relax without swatting bugs away constantly. My son loves this for the shade and bug relief as well. This has a zipper closure on two sides which is different and good. Also this particular screen is taller than others i had looked at. very good purchase. love taking this along camping!!!!!
