Here's your front-row seat to a thrilling concert performed by the phenomenally talented cast of Glee. See your favorite stars from the hit TV show as they sing the songs you love and dance up a storm on stage. Get swept up in the energy of "Glee Live" -- including performances not seen in theaters and hilarious Sue Sylvester introductions! Review: Won't Stop Believing - I literally flew into London for vacation the day of their final concert at the O2 and found out 2 days later(how upset was I). However, I was in England long enough to view it in Imax 3D on its release day 19th august. It was fantastic. Even my sister who I dragged along with me and was not much of a Glee fan enjoyed the concert and I am pretty sure my eight year old niece who I was secretly turning into a gleek, became a confirmed gleek after watching the concert. I figured Owning it on DVD would not be worth it. But I broke down and purchased it, and it is still just as good, although i watch it on a 19" flat screen tv and I do not have surround sound. The performances are still spectacular and the interview/documentary segments really bring the whole thing together. Review: Captures the fun and enthusiasm of the first season! - Well, I just don't know what the other reviewers were expecting. I DID go with a friend to see the film in the theatre and we both LOVED it. I think the studio waited too long to make this. Glee after the first season became very formulaic - there was simply nowhere for the story line to go: glee club geeks can't get no respect from other students, other teachers and the powers that be - and evil Sue Sylvester wants them destroyed. Okay, we got it! As much as I loved the first season, I stopped watching a few episodes into Season 2. The novelty was gone and there was not much room for growth. This movie however, took me back to that dazzling first season - with JUST the music and the enthusiasm. I loved the performances and I did enjoy the fan interviews. My friend and I actually got up and danced along in the theatre as we watched this. My non-Glee friends and I have had many discussions about the pros and cons of Glee. My stance has always been that if the show makes some kid go out and buy a Queen album or a Judy Garland album, or a John Lennon album, or a Beatles album, etc, that would the best of all results. I mean, my pals and I had no idea who Muddy Waters or Howling Wolf were until The Stones and Yardbirds introduced them to us. I enjoyed the film IMMENSELY and it has now become my favorite workout dvd - I mean, you cannot sit still while watching this. So, to you humbugs out there, lighten up! It's still almost the musical version of The Breakfast Club. Let yourself go and just enjoy!

Glee The Concert Review
I saw the concert live in Chicago this past summer. I won tickets through a radio station and I got to meet Amber Riley and Lea Michelle. The concert was amazing. I knew they were filming for a concert movie to be in theatres. So i knew I had to go relive all the fun again. Glee was my second concert. My first concert were the Jonas Brother<<<Which i did not enjoy as much. If your a HUGE gleek such as I am, then this is really a treat! It makes the perfect gift. They hardly cut anything from the concert. The concert and the DVD are both intimate with fans. Glee is an amazing show & im truly glad i got to experience the concert

Singing for the World! The Glee Concert movie is wonderful!
I saw this at the movie theater first... what an experience! I bought this for myself and recently found another copy. This was wonderful. I guess that the Shazam bits no longer work, because that used to be part of it. Excluding that, it is a favorite of mine. I love watching and singing along. The extra bits, where we follow 3 individuals and "meet the Mini-Warbler" in between some songs, are a nice touch.

Good but what's missing is bad
As a Gleek, I had high hopes for this movie. I was excited that I was going to be able to see some live performances from my favorite characters because I didn't have the opportunity to see it in person. I had a friend who saw them live, and she told me it was great. I was very impressed with the performances of the cast. They're a very talented group of people, and the fact they stayed in character made it better. The downfall of the performances is the fact that they aren't all the complete songs. It would've been nice to see that, but besides that, they were very good. Including the warblers in this was a great touch, and it was cute when Blaine came over to New Directions. The worst part of this DVD, besides the incomplete songs, is the fact that it is basically only concert footage and three kids talking about how Glee has impacted them. It was a nice touch to the movie, but it took up too much time, in my opinion. There was nothing I'd consider to be "behind-the-scenes." Sure, they talked to Brittany (Heather Morris) and Rachel (Lea Michele) a few times, and there was the little goofing of Blaine and the Warblers, but besides those instances, that aspect of the movie was lacking and poorly done. I would've liked to hear from other characters. Another thing they could've added is people backstage practicing and messing around. Maybe even a little bit of preparation for the show, but nothing of the sort was included. The bonus features were good for what was included. Some (maybe two?) full performances, but the entire movie should've been like that. They were cute little transitions for songs. Something that annoyed me was the fact it was pretty obvious the songs weren't in order. While it wasn't that big of a deal, it made me think of how they could've just included the entire concert and not skimped on the performances and the seemingly cute interaction of the characters during song transitions. In my opinion, they could've gone so many ways with this movie that could've made it much better than it was. I'm a little disappointed in how it was done. If they weren't going to do any behind-the-scenes clips (like I've seen in many other concert DVDs), at least they could've put out the entire concert. All things considered, I did enjoy what I was given; that's why I gave it four stars. The missing star symbolizes what I thought was missing (either the behind-the-scenes or the full concert). I just wish there was more of the characters and more music, but what was included wasn't half bad. It's what's missing that bothers the crap out of me. If you are a Gleek, this is probably a good addition to your collection. If you're looking to get into Glee, you should probably just start with season one episode one and perhaps eventually look into watching this when you get to know the characters and the stories behind why the songs are on the show.

Better without the 3D, but ...
I saw "Glee: The Concert Movie" in the theaters with 3D and here on instant video. The original movie consists of footage from one of the live concerts, some overused 3D effects, backstage "interviews" with the cast ... in character, and three mini-documentaries with three unique Gleeks. The instant video loses, thankfully, the 3D. 3D: At the theater, I found the 3D effects mostly annoying. Don't you hate it when you go to a live concert and someone sticks a large camera between you and the performers? Wouldn't you hate it even more if that "camera" were a fake, inserted by some self-indulgent "artist" who wanted to make your theater experience more "life-like?" The 3D nearly ruined the movie for me. The worst part: movie theaters charge a premium for unwanted 3D effects. I was paying extra to be annoyed. So, the absence of 3D in the instant video version almost earned an extra star from me, but it felt dishonest to give this a rating higher than a 3. Mini-documentaries: The lengthy diversions for stories about three unique Gleeks were nice and somewhat uplifting, but would have been best reserved for DVD extras. I don't need to see them more than once. I do think young teens would probably find them more inspiring than me. Concert footage: No huge complaints, especially whenever one of my favorites, such as Heather Morris, is on stage. Backstage "interviews:" These were mostly delightful and funny if you watch the show and understand that what you're seeing is another performance. Brittany S. Pierce (actress Heather Morris) even pointed out one of the few positives from the 3D: Her body looks amazing in three dimensions during the Britney Spears number. Conclusion: While I guess I can appreciate an attempt to create a "significant" film, the creators here bombed whenever coloring outside the lines. They would have been better off just sticking to concert footage and the backstage "interviews."

GLEE 2012 CONCERT VIDEO - Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack
I took my two kids, ages 12 and 11, to see this concert live at Nassau Coliseum in June 2011. It was fantastic then and it's just as fantastic revisited here on Blu-Ray & DVD. I even put the digital copy on my computer and we can now watch it anytime using the home-sharing feature on our Apple TV unit. The concert itself was and is fabulous. The surprising thing is that the actors tour not as themselves, but as their characters and they stay in charater throughout the concert and even during the backstage, behind-the-scenes footage. This is a great idea because it keeps it all within the context of the GLEE television show and it keeps Lea, Corey, Mark, Darren and Chris's egos out of the mix! Whether you saw the concert live in person or not, you will enjoy this. It's a must-have for any gleek!!
