Does exactly what it says it will. WITHOUT issues!!
After 2 years of having it installed it's been amazing. Never have I had any issues. Completely forgot to review at the time as it's forgotten about on the wall and Alexa does her this without trouble. Had to ask Moe's for the wiring diagram for my old thermostat and sent them a picture of my existing (the old wires exposed) wires and they sent me the correct wiring plan. Took 15 minutes to remove the old one and wire up the Moe's one. Further 15 for sorting Alexa out and we were up and running. Trusted company for sure.

Good product but could be more controllable
I’m very pleased with this device but I do agree with another reviewer that the functionality of the Smart Life app for it could be a lot better. The ‘flame’ icon doesn’t appear in programme mode for a start. You also can’t tell it, not using Smart Life anyway, to go back into timer mode when a scheduled temperature change event is imminent (you might not want it to, but I do). You also can’t use a voice command to change from timer mode to manual mode and vice-versa.I have, however, devised workarounds for these issues.1. To make the device go back into timer mode before a scheduled temperature change: In Smart Life automation, create a smart routine (I called mine “Heating to timer, am”) to set the device into timer mode and schedule it for one minute before your scheduled temperature change. Create another routine for each temperature change event in your schedule. Now, if you’ve changed to manual mode earlier, it will go back into timer mode a minute before your temperature scheduled change. Job done.2. Voice control the device mode. In Smart Life automation, create a smart routine (I called mine “Heating mode manual”), tap on “run the device”, choose your stat, and set the task to “mode: manual”. Set it to run every day at (for example) noon and save it. Next, in the Alexa app routines, tap on “when this happens”, then “voice”. Enter a phrase for Alexa to respond to (again I used the phrase “Heating mode manual”) then tap “next”. Tap “add action” and choose Smart Home from the list. Tap “Control scene” and choose “Heating mode manual” (or whatever you called yours), then tap “add”. Tap “save” (again I called mine “Heating mode manual”). Now, whenever you say your phrase to Alexa, that routine will run. Next, create a similar automation to set the stat back into timer mode, but to run every day one minute later than your “switch to manual” routine. Obviously use a phrase like “Heating mode timer” for this one. Job done. The only thing to remember is to tell Alexa what temperature you want when you choose manual mode. All a bit of a faff but worth the effort in the end. Hopefully, future updates to Smart Home will render these steps redundant.

Amazing product!!!
This thermostat is a smart piece of equipment, but there are a few important details to keep in mind:- **Back Plate:** It does not come with a back plate. If you don’t want to make a large hole in your wall, you will need to get a spacer or a back plate. There is a recommended one on Amazon, but it’s not ideal because it isn’t square and doesn’t include screws compatible with this thermostat. I used it but it’s not a snug fit.- **Wiring:** Ensure that your wiring matches the examples shown in the feedback. You need to create a loop for the heating to work, so if your wiring consists of yellow, neutral, live, and earth wires, you should feel confident in purchasing this product. I had to tape the earth wire and tuck it away since there is no designated hole for it.- **Moes App:** The instructions provided will help you connect the thermostat, but they do not explain how to use the app once it’s set up. The app has only four buttons: you can turn it on by clicking the hand switch like leaving on constantly, and the "P" button is for programming.Good luck! It works from anywhere in the world as long the thermostat is connected to the WiFi and it really helps getting the house before you get home or not leave it on. Very smart and I’m impressed despite the fee glitches

Not bad, but some annoying niggles.
Installation wasn't too bad, all things being considered. However the screws supplied DO NOT fit a brand-new 86mmx86mmx30mm pattress box. So make sure you buy a couple in advance. Also a standard pattress box has a slight recess into it. If you screw the backplace of the thermostat flush into it, you won't be able to slide the front panel on. I used two small washers either side as a stand off.Once fitted and powered up, I found the display faint and washed out. Even worse with the backlight on. Luckily I have no intention of ever using the thing manually - so once setup it will be via the app.Speaking of which setting up the app and pairing seemed straightforward. My setup was a Vaillant TurboMAX 824. To wire the thermostat in I had to jump a wire from "L" to one of the "dry contact" terminals with the other "dry contact" going to the boilers Call For Heat wire.UPDATE:Having had the misfortune to install the "Smart Life" app, I have to scale my review back to 1-star. The Thermostat OK, I guess (display problem aside). However as soon as I installed this App my phone became 10x slower. As did my wifes. And they are both quad-core big beasty Samsung Galaxies. No idea what on earth this "app" is doing, but everything else now runs like treacle (as does this app).If control by app is a "must have" then for the love of all that's holy, find another device that doesn't use this app. You will thank me.(p.s. don't try and be clever and say "I'll use Alexa instead" as Alexa merely works the Smart Life app on your phone. So double trouble.
