Incest-Related Syndromes of Adult Psychopathology
I**E
Good overview of the subject.
This is a well organized book, clearly written and very readable, composed in the late 1980s and published in 1990. In is written and edited by eclectic therapists who are well versed in psychodynamic theory, behavioral theory, biopsychosocial theories and practical experience. It is not overburdened with the analytic psychobabble and jargon which ruin so many of the texts from the fifties and sixties, nor the deconstructionism and neomarxist babble which make too many modern texts unreadable. It provides an overview of the various core clusters of pathologies one sees in the clinic when one evaluates and develops treatment plans for persons who have early incest experience. That seems easy enough until you read twelve other books on the subject and find they range from bad to worse. Because of the psychobabble factor incest is probably close to the second hardest of the many therapy subjects to find real texts. (Hardest to find is a decent text on the subject of evaluation and treatment of domestic violence in all-female and female-dominated households. If I ever find a superior book on that subject I will review it.)

It arrived when I expected it to, no issues.

GREAT CLINICAL STUDY
This book is great for clinicians, yet easy for any serious study. There are several books which "cover" this topic and are merelypornography. Beware.
