Amazing!!!
So this bag can hold a lot more than I first imagined it would. I've never owned a bag like this before and was a little skeptical as far as the durability and waterproofing was concerned. I'm glad I was wrong. The family went for a camping trip from Iowa to Pittsburgh and back. Had zero problems. The first thing I noticed was the construction. Very strong fabric with a waterproof lining on the inside. Wasn't sure how dry our stuff would stay, but I'm happy to say that we drove through several storms and everything stayed dry as it was packed. The straps that came with it seemed to be able to do the job but I used a few ratchet straps as an extra precaution. Crap happens and I didn't want our stuff all over the road. I believe that the straps given would be adequate. There were no signs of fraying from the bag or the straps. One of the reasons I wanted this one and not a hard topper is the ability to store it in such a compact area.Overall I'm very pleased with this product. I have no problems whatsoever in recommending this product. It's not expensive. It's very spacious, two adults and three children for a weeks worth of clothes, camping gear, and even had room for souvenirs. So do yourself a favor, don't delay, get it today!! Lol, always loved that cheesey saying. I'm clearly not a salesman lol.

Not a quality product
I was disappointed by this product and would like a refund. I needed it to move across the country. It took a really long time to arrive, and then it was not the bag I ordered. Different brand, not all black like the picture. It smelled TERRIBLE and gave me a headache when I really needed to be well and able to pack. I off-gassed it outside in the sun and it was better. The zipper pulled apart by pulling the sides apart. I used a lock to keep it closed. Then packing it I was unable to fit all of my belongings that I wanted to take. I think the bag they sent was smaller than 20 cu in. But it took so long to arrive it was my only option. It was not waterproof either. There was water pooled in the bottom of the bag when I unpacked it at the end of the journey. At least it did not break apart on the highway. But overall I was not happy with this purchase and I would like my money refunded.

Tough and roomy. Easy to set up and easy to store
My family moved from Florida to Washington this summer and needed just a bit more storage on out Jeep. We were pleasantly surprised at how well this cargo bag worked. We had no problems putting up each morning and getting is back down each evening for the seven days we traveled. It didn't leak. It was easy to tie up to the roof rack. The only knock I had was that the loose ends of the straps would flap around in the wind but that was easy to remedy with a bit more care in tying them down. Since we moved we have used it for family trips twice and it continues to be great.

Love hate relationship
Ok, here we go I used this on a 6000 mile trip from Texas to Alaska so I went through all the climates and have wrote a lengthy review. I had a love hate relationship with this carrier. Overall it got the job done, nice design, looked great. Love this over a hard carrier because I can fit more things in here and it takes to the shape of whatever you put in it. Hard carriers you can’t manipulate the container so you lose space but not with this, I had 3 suitcases, two duffel bags and a carrier for my dress clothes all in this and it did its job. Here’s where the issue comes in, there’s no directions on how to install it, which way works best (I’ll get to this in a minute) and possibly easy to steal or open.Installing it took all of 10 minutes once I figured it out no biggie but something I noticed INSTALLED IT BACKWARDS. You might laugh but hey if it rains you won’t be laughing and you will thank me. On the highway the flaps that cover the zipper flip up in the wind and ALL the rain comes in through the zipper, if you turn it around there is no zipper on the back so no water and flap to flip. My things were pretty wet in a few bags. Dry climate it did fine, with snow i didn’t have any issues, just in the rain.Security...what security? If someone wanted to steal what you have inside, wouldn’t be hard. The clips were the same ones you see on grocery carts to strap kids in... except more heavy duty. Literally, to get in it involves unlatching the 3 clips on the side that has the zipper, undoing the Velcro and opening the zipper. Me explaining it is how long it takes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying a heavy lock with key to lock the zipper. Only then will it be a pain to take or open. I don’t see someone taking the whole carrier off that would be huge but just opening it wouldn’t be hard. I was paranoid that someone would just cut it open with a knife but it’s a soft carrier.Overall that’s what I thought, getting into it to grab my things wasn’t hard, the extra space was great and it looked nice. Weather played a role with the carrier and security was not really there unless you thought ahead. Install was easy just do it backwards. I will be using this to go camping with in the future might do better for that but we will see. Hope this helps

Not waterproof
We were skeptical about this keeping items dry in the rain so we used it for items that wouldn’t hurt to get wet. They got soaked! There was literally standing water in the bag when we opened it.

Don't waste your money
The bag ripped open during our travels (hole was right in front of the bag where all the impact of the air would hit a traveling vehicle).Items were wet due to the bag ripping open, demanding my child's bible and other books he received from his great grandmother. The bag did remain strapped down to the roof with no issues. The waterproof material in the inside came apart from the cloth material of the bag....our items had pieces of wet plastic (waterproofing material) all over. The items we could save had to dry in order to brush off.I had planned to utilize this bag again but its completely ruined and trash now.$100 for a one time use :(Item not recommended for long travels during windy weather.
