Any Size to 48 Inch Clamping Style Quilt Rack Throw Rug Hanger - Oak

These quilt holders look really nice and they hold the quilts evenly along the edge so that there are no pressure points to distort the shape. This was my second purchase, and again the quality was very good as was the service, I recommend this seller and will certainly buy from him again.For this, as for any wood piece with a liquid-applied (varnish/poly/paint) finish, I suggest separating the two pieces immediately upon arrival and setting them someplace to allow the finish to cure for a full 30 days before assembling and using. Finishes need to fully cure so that they won't soften and stick to each other or something else when pressure is applied. Being dry to the touch doesn't mean a finish is fully cured, and these are custom-made to order so they have likely not sat in a warehouse for months.

I used the 48" hanger on a 49" Adventureland tapestry and it works perfectly. There are two horizontal keyhole slots on the back 31 inches apart, close enough to stud spacing so you can put two protruding head screws in the studs and hang it easily. Mine is finished nicely in mahogany which complements the dark colors in the rug.One reviewer asked if it was only two pieces of wood. Reading that I checked out moulding at Home Depot and calculated I could make one for $30 but it would require several hours of work and might not grip the rug as well as the Matlock does. I would also have to find a dust free space to dry a long wood strip after staining. So yes, this is a fair price for a custom made piece.

My wife was looking for a hanger for one of her quilts and came across one from Matlock Woodworks on Amazon. The hanger arrived today, and it's gorgeous. It took a while - as expected from anything made to order - but the wait was certainly worth it. I can't say enough about how nicely this was made and finished. Don't order one of these if you're in a hurry, but if you have time to allow for quality craftsmanship, go for it. I have a feeling we'll be ordering more of these in the future as she has a number of quilts waiting to be displayed.

This was exactly what I wanted to display the Amish quilt I have. It is very professional looking and Matlock Woodworks contacted me promptly as to the size and color I wanted. Then I was notified when it was being shipped. It is a hand crafted item, so don't be in a hurry when you order. I ordered mine on August 30 and received it October 14. But it was worth the wait. I would order from this company again.

I love love love this quilt rack! The Golden Oak shade is perfect! The workmanship is very nice and for having a custom order it wasn't very long a wait..I was updated and told when the shipping label was created and when it was shipped. The packaging was done great. I will be ordering again from Matlock Woodworks!
