A6 Cool Comfort & Slim

Ah the joy of not worrying about hot clipper blades! Or cutting my dog's skin by accident on blades that slip or pinch!! These are very good quality blade combs, heavy duty make. Metal inside, strong plastic outside. Clips on very tight, no chance of falling out while in use. In fact, sometimes they are hard to put on due to snug fit. Be sure to put them on while clipper is unplugged, as I accidentally turned on the switch and cut my finger on a sharp blade. Many comb, good selection to choose from. Smallest comb is 1/16 inch, then 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2,... etc. Big one is really big for large hairy breeds. Comes with a grey soft vinyl pouch for storage. Easy to clean, does not look like they will rust. Price is good, functionality is very good, durable, and good fit for my Andis AGC2 A5 Pro Clippers. Will work on any A5 Pro type clippers from Andis, Oster, Wahl, Geib, etc. Only issue is that I wish there were some more fine combs for small dog facial trim. Since I have a mini poodle, I used the 1/16 and 1/8 on face with a #50 blade, and wish there were some fine tooth combs to get the face neatly done. These combs worked okay but not terrific on the poodle face. Rest of body worked just fine!

i have a miniature poodle mix with very sheep-like hair. i tried few clippers and they usually were pulling his hair. THOSE clippers cut awesome. i only have the blade it came with and it does a great job. it does warm up quickly though on full speed. it doesn't bother me because i only do two areas of a body a day. he was abused before i adopted him and this is a huge deal for him to tolerate clippers. i like the easiness of holding the clippers and 3 speed choices. i maybe will have enough money to get more blades in a future so it would save me time on finishing his paws and face by scissors. i only did cut his hair on his belly and back and his behind, and upper part of legs. this clippers did great job with those parts and #10 blades. i am not a groomer. and for the first time i used it on his body (i do not count the tries of unsuccessful grooming with other brands). i would recommend this clippers. I think having more accessories would be more helpful, but with #10 blades you can do most of the job and just finish with scissors, depending on your budget. It was super easy to use by me.

This is my fourth A6 and I have yet to find a better clipper in the 6 years I've been grooming. My hands and wrists are very sensitive to high vibration and these have very low vibration, which is most important for me, I have tendinitis in both wrists. I also like that they don't have any rubber on them, I've found that rubber grips get tons of disgusting hair splinters in them over time, yet I've never had trouble gripping these. They are very quiet even on the highest setting and very heavy duty, I've groomed a lot of matted dogs with them and they hold up every time. My only complaint, and some might find this a major one, is the flaw in the design of the front plate. The screws holding the front plate in screw into plastic and over time after snapping blades in they tend to crack and break off. I still prefer these clippers even with they flaw, I've trained myself to carefully snap my blades on so it'll last longer before cracking, but it would be great if Oster would update these clippers and fix that flaw.

These clippers are so good and have been working well since I bought it! Battery life lasts, and I charge it in between grooms. I have yet for the battery to die on me during my 8 hour shift. Though I do go back and forth between these clippers and my clipper vac system. So maybe purchasing an extra battery wouldn't hurt. Clips dog hair well with oster brand blades. It works for me, and my boss who owns a dog grooming salon told be to buy this brand of clippers.

Love these clippers! I work as a hairstylist at a busy mens salon and I use these on almost every client in my chair. They are great for taking off bulks of hair as they are originally for animal grooming. They are a lot quieter and more gentle than the oster 76 clippers which I used for a long time, but the 76's wore a lot quicker and I had to go through three of them because I had a lot of issues( not to mention really loud so I could barely hear my clients!) .These clippers I've been using for almost two years and they are great! They are also a lot lighter to hold which makes a difference when cutting hair all day and doing fades, etc. the clippers come with three different speed options for cutting different textures of hair which is awesome! Most of the time I keep the speed on low but the high speeds are great for cutting some thick and coarse hair! Personally I like to use several different clippers for cutting hair but these always have been my go to clipper ( if I need to go back and fix a spot or see any lines or marks) . Just be sure to take care of them , clean the hair out and oil or grease them regularly and they work like a charm.

These are so quiet that I honestly didn't think they were powerful at all and was prepared to be disappointed. But I tried them on my Standard Poodle, which was the main reason I purchased the more professional clipper, and wow - cut through his coarse and curly fur with ease. I wasn't even sure it was clipping until I realized the pile of fur that was stacking up on the floor beneath him. My old cheap clippers took hours to get through one dog - I was done today in about 20 minutes. I'm not a professional, these were purchased just for my own dogs, but the difference in some nice, more expensive, more professional clippers compared to the $50 variety I used to have is amazing. I also purchased from the Amazon warehouse where they offer damaged goods. I honestly have no idea what was damaged about the packaging - it all looked perfect to me and I got a great price to boot.

Great set. Durable, fits well, works. Haven't used every comb but nice to have as I learn on a standard poodle. Container that holds product is typical packaging of formed plastic. Would be great to get a sectioned box to access and store them easier. A bit big for tackle or head boxes.

I’ve been using the 3000i since this model came out. I love them. They are fast and of a good weight. Groomers- faster clipper means that blades heat up faster so oil your blades and change them regularly

Does this look like a #10 blade, I think not.
