I have tried a couple of these adapters from different sellers on Amazon and most of them did not work/fit or eventually broke after a few days of use. However, it seems I have finally found an adapter that works and a seller with actual knowledgeable customer support.First - I contacted the seller before purchasing to ensure the adapter was compatible with my 2020 16" MacBook Pro as it seems most of the adapters available on Amazon right now are not. The seller confirmed that their newly updated version was in fact compatible with all 19/20 MacBooks which was a good sign.When I received the adapter and tried it on my 2020 MacBook it fit perfectly - it takes a little bit of force to seat it correctly into the USB C port but nothing excessive.The magnet is strong - a lot stronger than other adapters I have tried and yet when I 'test tripped' over the charging cable it broke free without the MacBook moving just like the old Magsafe chargers.It is charging at the full 96W and data transfer speeds are fine. The adapter works as well in the reverse direction with no noticeable drop in performance.I've had the adapter for over 3 weeks with no issues and the build quality seems sturdy with no signs of it breaking down, fingers crossed!

I loved my old magsafe chargers, they saved my laptops from falling many times and never once broke. So why did Apple decide to do away with it??? Thankfully this adapter fills the gap left behind.The build quality seems good with a good strong magnetic contact - ive had no issues with charging and transferring files. It doesnt reduce the charging rate and files seem to transfer at normal speedsI like that it is quite slim and doesn't block the other usb c ports too!It's worked so well thatI have now bought 3 of them and decided that was enough proof to write a review - highly recommend!

As a magsafe power connector, this works great. I haven't tested it with data, as that's not why I bought it.However, the dongle that plugs into the mac (in my case, and 2019 Macbook pro) is wide enough that only some USB-C plugs will fit alongside it. The one in my photo does, but I have some that don't.Worse still, the piece into which you plug the power cable is wider still, meaning nothing will fit into the 2nd USB-C port once you have this all plugged in, as shown in my photo.So, if all you want is a magsafe power connector and don't need to plug anything else into your macbook on the same side, or your ports aren't as close together as they are on the macbook pro, this is fine and does the job well. Otherwise, maybe keep looking for a different design of connector.

I purchased these connectors so I could connect 4 of them into the Mac Book Pro Ports at the same time as was clearly indicated would be possible in the images for this item. when they arrived I unpacked 2 and and put the first one in, upon trying to fit the second one, it was immediately apparent that they did not fit next to each other with the plug in body being too wide to fit next to the neighbouring port. while the items do work and do save your fragile USBC ports, it is NOT possible as indicated to connect them side by side.Another negative mark is that they completely interfere/disrupt WIFi networks. I tested one in then 2 in on either side and then without and you can say goodbye to the majority of your bandwidth. I personally dropped 60MB going down to sub 8 levels when they were connected and saw things only return to normal when they were moved away from the Mac.So my overall feedback would have to be one of, don't bother unless you are using a wired network connection and only want to use one per side because really that's the only scenario they work in.

Usb-c port works well, makes good and secure contact. Because of its size it's not always possible to have another cable plugged in the adjacent port

I bought the connector so I could use it with my work laptop as I was finding I was knocking the charger whilst it was plugged in too often and I was having to get replacement chargers as the plugs would bend. This adapter works really well, it charges fine, feels well made and makes it easier to disconnect the charger avoiding any damage.The one massive drawback for me is that it has killed two of my work laptops now (both the same model), to the point where they have had to be sent back to the manufacturer and have their mainboards replaced. It seems to be that occasionally when disconnecting the magnetic connector it does something to the charging circuitry, the laptop instantly turns off and won't switch on again. it ends up being a glorified paperweight.For info the make was Dell.Hopefully no one else will experience this but sadly it means I can't use the connector anymore which is a real shame.

Moving from MagSafe on my old MacBook to only having Thunderbolt ports was not something that I wanted to do as I move my laptop around and often have limited space to plug in. Therefore finding this solution at a reasonable price was a great relief. It transfers power and data with no noticeable impact on performance and has a reasonably powerful magnetic hold. My only concern is that it is a white wide s fit is difficult to plug into the adjacent port, though as I have 2 other ports to use this is not a particularly significant concern. Product we deliver in good time, well packaged and with useful information.

I had high hopes for this item. The magnetic charging seems to work fine but since I have connected it to my Thunderbolt cable the monitor does not receive the video signal anymore. I am using a MacBook Pro 2016 and used the Thunderbolt connection (1 cable) for charging the laptop and signal transfer to Samsung monitor. So not very satisfied with this adapter. I have tried the adapter on my HP laptop as well and no signal either.

Not a really reliable connection. No really fast charging.Not using it anymore.

Un po’ alla volta sto acquistando connettori magnetici per tutti i miei dispositivi (questa era la volta del mio iPad Air 4).Ho testato l’adattatore con il caricatore per iPad di serie e un adattatore UsbC > HDMI e funziona benissimo.Costruttivamente mi sembra molto solido. L’attacco a pipa è dal mio punto di vista fondamentale. Riduce drasticamente l’ingombro e rende il tablet più maneggevole da distesi.Unica pecca: leggermente ingombrante. Come vedete dalla foto sporge dalla cover nonostante sia spessa almeno un paio di millimetri.

Rien à redire sur l'objet en lui-même : Excellente facture et fonctionne très bien. Ce qui est moins convaincant est l'aspect connexion aimanté et la compatibilité avec les protections de téléphone. La partie solidaire du téléphone est incompatible avec la protection de mon téléphone, car cette base prend trop de place. L'aimant est puissant, mais pas assez pour maintenir la connexion de manière fiable. J'ai évidemment le problème, car le logement dans lequel je mets mon téléphone est très étroit (logement de véhicule). Pour faire simple, le téléphone ne peut être manipulé sans se déconnecter. J'arrive quand même avec de la délicatesse à obtenir le résultat que je souhaite.

Lo he estado usando durante más de un mes, y todo correcto. Lo recomiendo al 100%. Hace años tenía un Mac Book con Magsafe, y desde entonces siempre he querido un portátil con dicha función (que ahora ya no la tienen nin los Mac). Así que me he comprado un portátil ultraligero solo con puertos USB-C (incluido el de carga), y le he puesto este adaptador... ¡Es perfecto! Miré otros pero no me convencían porque no tienen suficientes pines (contactos) para soportar la carga por USB-C a 65W. Con este no he tenido problemas (por el momento). Eso sí, no todos los cables USB-C me han funcionado, con alguno quedaba un poco suelto y no cargaba. Pero con la mayoría sin problemas. Y es una gozada, pues tiene un led verde en la punta, y si lo pones con el cable desde atrás (en vez de como se ve en la foto) entonces puedes saber si está cargando; porque sí, el conector es reversible. En cuanto a la parte que se pone fija en el portátil, es suficientemente pequeña y ajusta muy bien (queda muy sujeto), y físicamente no desentona. Eso sí, tiene un cierto grosor, así que si tienes una funda, con que no quede justa, se puede dejar perfectamente puesto siempre.Mi recomendación general es que se trata un producto imprescindible si tienes un portátil con carga USB-C.

Nachdem mein erster Versuch mit einem anderen Magsafe-Stecker fehlgeschlagen ist und ich ihn zurückgesandt habe, bin ich als 2. bei diesem Stecker gelandet.Ledier war auch hierder erste Versuch nicht von Erfolg gekrönt. da der geräteseitige Stecker dermaßen fest im Gerät saß, dass er beim Entfernen zerstört wurde.Aber der Verkäufer hat auf meine Anfrage sehr schnell, freundlich und kulant geantwortet und mir umgehend ein Ersatzstecker zugesandt. Dieser passt genau so, wie es sein soll.Der Magnet des Steckers haftet recht fest, sodass ein versehentliches Abfallen wohl eher nicht passieren kann. Ansonsten tut der Stecker genau das was er soll ;-)Ein kleines Manko könnte ich anwenden, während bei anderen Steckern eine Art Gabel zum Entfernen beigelegen hat, gibt es hier nur ein kleines Seil, mit welchem man den Stecker entfernen kann. Funktioniert, wirkt aber sehr einfach.Was die Ladeleistung des Steckers angeht, da kann ich nicht (noch ) nicht viel sagen. Aber unterm Strich ist es mir nicht so wichtig. Hauptsache ist nur, dass der Ladevorgang nicht zu langsam wird. Aber da würde ich jetzt erstmal nicht von ausgehen.Alles in allem eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
