Spectra Fiber Braided Fishing Line

Bought this here simply because I couldn't find 20 lb locally. Shortage you know. My experience with 10 lb sold me on it. Fished a lot of rocks and fast water and had no obvious damage to my line on the contact end. Once I figured how much to put on a spinning reel spool I really liked it. Don't try to fill your spool, leave a good lip of the spool showing. My Pflueger President 40 with 150 yds of 20 lb leaves about 1/8 inch head room on the spool. This seems perfect. The braid comes off the spool too fast if you fill it too full and you will have a big problem with wind knots. Not fun, I did it at first and learned. I use very little mono now. As I need to replace I will be using Power Pro braid. Get a good cutter to make your life easier. I am using Gerber Neat Freaks and cant be happier.

This has revolutionized my fishing. By connecting the fishhook to my fishing pole with this string, I have improved my luck immeasurably. Before this string, I was just throwing hooks out into the water and standing there with my fishing pole, and never catching anything. I would see Fish swim right up and pick up the hook with the worm on it and swim away. And I thought to myself, “I need something to attach those hooks to this fishing pole and “enter: this string. Now when a fish picks up the hook with the bait on it, I can pull it to shore with my fishing pole. Seriously, this stuff is limber, and superstrong, I use it for fishing, it has minimal memory, I have left It on deep-sea fishing rigs without it going brittle, and it holds knots like crazy. Highly recommend.

I've been using Power Pro for years, and it's never failed me. The only issue I have with this specific order is that they sent me the incorrect size - I ordered 8lb, and they sent me the 10lb size for some reason! I might be a little cautious of ordering from them again since I received the incorrect order. I'll still use the 10lb line they sent because the product itself is incredible.

I usually fish form the bank of local reservoirs. With a snap swivel and no leader. I wanted braid to help if I get snagged since I can't just position myself anywhere I want like I was in a boat. I put this on a Berkley light spinning combo. I've used this now a few times and I have no complaints. I initially put too much on the spool. Loops would slide up and off and get tangled. Once I removed a few yards and re-tied, I was fine. The color is good. It seems to be as strong as advertised. The other day I was caught in a tree. I needed to wrap the line around the handles of my pliers to get a grip. I was stuck but good. The line finally broke at the knot at the swivel. I easily put 30 pounds of pressure on it. I received packaging as shown and would definitely buy Power Pro again.

This is the only brand of braid that I use. I like it for its neutral buoyancy - it neither floats nor sinks in the water. It is also very durable and a good value for the money. I use 10, 20 and 30 pound test for crappie, bass and catfishing. For crappie fishing I tie it behind a 40 foot mono leader to absorb line twist. Works great!

Excellente braided fishing line, cast really far away and it is really almost imposibble to break. Will never change the brand for anything.

Have yet to use this exact product but have other Power Pro lines, wanted to state that the red is more like a washed out closer to a dark pink color than red. At least the spool I received is. Daughter is still happy with the color just wish it was darker like the photo.
