If You Like HOT Salsa Pass on This One
I enjoy salsas that are different than salsa on my grocery store shelves. Mateo makes for a great change of pace. Ordered the medium and hot style. I like hot sasas but the hot stye seems almost medium. But then I like hotter sasa than this version for sure. My hot jar could use some peaking up anyway for my taste.

Not bad but still searching
Not bad, but still searching for that perfect batch, one which is NOT salty. I added sugar to try to calm the salt, helped a little. So hard to find the perfect salsa. I had found it but the owner died and the recipe and company apparently died with him. (Ernie's Gourmet Red - Richmond, VA) Shame.

Flavorful
Not available on our location so have ordered from Amazon. Spicy but lots of flavor!

poorly made product is unusable and disgusting
Of the two jars in my set, one was opened and leaky. The leaky jar was apparently opened for a long time as the contents was moldy. The outside label had soaked up the product and was tearing and peeling, and also molding. The smell was absolutely foul and disgusting. I ended up throwing away the good bottle because it seemed to have absorbed the smell, too.
