I have never written a review before on amazon (at least I think), but this HDMI converter was so impressive that it's worth leaving one for. Works seamlessly on a modern PC monitor and outputs amazing audio and video with no noticeable input delay. I've used AV converters before that cost twice as much and leave noise and artefacts, but this is truly as close as you'll get to perfection without using a HDMI mod on the Dreamcast console. A solid 10/10 for me, I'm definitely looking into buying the same brand for my original Xbox also.

This is a very good product as far as plug & play goes. I'm running it through my old 32 inch sony bravia tv & my favourite Dreamcast games are getting played much more now compared to my CRT TV. There are less than 20 minor games that don't work through this, but my faves - VF3, Speed Devils, Incoming, Daytona 2001, Shadowman, Sega Rally 2, Soul Calibur, plus loads of others, are now looking very sharp indeed. Speed Devils is a very good example, & Metropolis Street Racer as well, as these two looked rather fuzzy & blurry on the CRT, which is what they were destined to be played on. They now look really great thanks to this HDMI converter. If you go into dark areas such as in Shadowman, you can see the feint vertical lines present, but they don't show up in normally lit areas. In other words, well done Kaico, for making this simple plug & play device. Highly recommended & at a very reasonable price. 😁👍🎮

This is a well made product, designed to actually just work. I didn't want to mess around trying to get a dodgy cable to work with a Dreamcast and this seemed like it would do the job. It certainly did. It really is just plug and play and takes the uncertainty out of whether you have a dud Dreamcast or not. Picture and sound quality is good. Happy with my purchase.

PROS: -It works with the correct TV settings -It is indeed plug and play -VGA option is a game changer to upscale at 1080p and further 4k by the TV itself CONS: -Flimsy build -Very long, makes storage and display of the console difficult if you set the console together with other consoles in a switch setup -Does not work well on all TVs regardless of settings -2 or 3 seconds blackouts from time to time (not too often in fairness) -Not all games work well (Sega Rally 2 was showing temper tantrums for example) I have 4 different TVs, 3 of them are LG and one Samsung. For some reason, in two OLED TVs with the exact same cloned settings, one shows extremely sharpened and with huge pixels and the other one performs amazingly well. I would understand this if the one showing the worst results was the larger screen with the same resolution. But that's not the case, the one showing worse results is the one with smaller pixels but the same 4k output. Then swapping to the 4k Samsung shows results halfway towards great but certainly playable. Hooking a Marseille dongle to the converter does not improve results in my experience, if anything, it makes things worse. All in all, if you manage to be lucky and have a TV that handles the image upscaling well, you will be very pleased with the results, lack of input lag and experience overall. I wish the dongle wasn't that long so the console could be displayed on a smaller shelf.

After numerous attempts with converters I finally find one that does exactly what it says it should. Picture looks pretty amazing and the screen is spot on centre compared to others that have either moved the screen left or right which becomes very frustrating and annoying. An added bonus with this unit also is that you don’t need to power it from an external supply, everything is inline and all that’s needed is to plug in the hdmi lead which is also supplied and then play .This is a great little box no bigger than a packet of tic-tacs, can’t sing is praises enough, great product at a great price. Now need others for all my other retro machines.

I bought this looking forward to playing the dreamcast I recently bought and watched all the reviews and got excited. Every seemed fine but it didnt work at all, the pilot light didnt come on it was a complete dud. Qaulity control is needed here.

Looked around for a while for something to replace an old vga box. This is perfect plugs straight inline between console and hdmi cable. No faffing about with having to power it from usb etc. just plug and play great output quality. Only a few games at the moment that don’t support vga out but I can live without those !

Works as described and lets me play Dreamcast on a new tvs since they only come with hdmi now

Does what it says in product description and converts VGA to HDMI for your dreamcast. Works well but with everything dreamcast you may have issues playing some games with it since it converts VGA to HDMI and certain titles do not support VGA output

Iv'e purchased this adapter for my well beloved dreamcast. It's just mindblowing how good the resolution is on my LG smart tv with this retro console. Rayman 2 played like a charm and other games as well, The only little downside it's the little HDMI-brick 's size.. when you want to place your console under your TV it can be tricky to place everything without bending the cable. It's not such a big of a deal though cause if you're know what you're doing it shouldn't be a thing. Anyhow: great adapter, and beware: it's not an upscaler.

Bin froh darüber diesen Adapter gekauft zu haben. Die Bildwiedergabe ist sehr gut und so gut wie kaum verändert außer das sich das Bild ein wenig zieht aber das ist zu erwarten. Im großen und ganzen top Produkt 👍
