I bought this tape to secure some area rugs that kept sliding around on my hardwood floors, and I am honestly impressed by the grip. It anchors them down completely—even with my dogs running over them, the corners don't lift or shift at all. A helpful tip for application: This stuff is extremely sticky (which is good!), but it means you have to be careful when peeling the backing. I found it easiest to stick the tape to the rug first, press it down firmly, and then peel the paper liner off slowly just before flipping it onto the floor. If you try to do it too fast, it can stick to your fingers or itself. It’s also thin enough that you don't feel a "bump" under the rug, which was a concern of mine. If you need a heavy-duty hold for high-traffic areas, this is the one to get.

It works very well on area rugs and stair treads. This stuff is very tough and very sticky. None of the carpets I have used it on have moved at all. A small piece is perfect for the corners that curl up. It would not adhere to an entry mat that had a rubberized bottom (but I could find nothing that would stick to this material).

I have struggled with those rubber mats for under the carpet for years and it dawned on me to see if there was even such a thing as carpet tape. THIS IS A LIFESAVER. I was trying to use things to hold down the edge of a new carpet and people kept kicking it. We secured it down with this and immediately I went and tossed that mat thing from under a hall rug and we used this and it has been holding on so well! The hall is a high traffic spot too and the other is a living room and we have kids and dogs!

This product is different than most. Once applied, the two-sided tape is super thin, appears to be reinforced with thread, and it gets the job done. Most two-side tape is kind of thick, dries out and loses much of its grip over time. I used it to hold a chaise lounge cushion in place at the very foot the lounge. Before, everytime I slide off the bottom of the cushion would partially slide with me. Not any more. I am impressed. Buy it, you will like it. For most people this one roll will go along way. I used 2 strips 24 inches long but maybe one would have done the job.

This is good quality tape that is holding my carpets and rugs down perfectly. It was easy to cut using a knife as instructed and the backing paper was easy to remove. The only difficulty was removing the outer cellophane as it had stuck to the side of the roll. Very strong and good value

I purchased this carpet tape to secure the corners of two carpet runners in my home (was constantly tripping over a curled-up corner of one carpet). As soon as I applied the tape, both carpets remained securely in place, corners no longer curling. I’ve applied this over laminate flooring, so haven’t tested to see how easy it is to remove the tape yet, but the flooring installer did assure me that it’s easily done if/when needed. So far, I’m very happy with the product. ***Edited to add: The front door of my house opens directly into my (tiny) living room. In order to protect my carpet from the constant in-and-out high traffic, I use a protective throw mat with a rubber backing to go in front of the door. Unfortunately, because that mat sits directly on the living room carpet, every time you step on it, the mat shifts. A lot. This was causing a tripping hazard, and I tried everything I could think of to prevent it. Nothing worked. Then I had an idea…what if I used some of this double-sided tape to adhere carpet to carpet? I was skeptical, but gave it a try. And it works! I applied the tape under the throw carpet about a month ago, and it has remained solidly in place the entire time; no shifting at all. Quite an improvement over having to readjust the moving carpet 3-4 times a day. All this said, I have no idea if the stickiness of the tape where it adheres to the living room carpet will affect the carpet long-term. But since I have no intentions of ever removing the protective throw mat anyway, I’m not worried about that. The tape resolved my ongoing fight with that mat quickly and easily. And to me, it’s made this product worth its weight in gold.
