THE BEST book on Crop Circles
If you've never heard of crop circles (where have you been living? On Mars?) or you've been fascinated by them since the 70s, like me, this book is by far, the most thoroughly researched and well-written book on the market. Originally published in 2002, Freddy Silva delves into the history, the mystery, the links with higher mathematics, sacred geometry, musical harmonics, and the crop science around these incredibly beautiful designs. He shares his own and others' introductions and experience with crop circles over the years as the number of designs increased along with the complexity.I first read this book in 2003 when I discovered it and have read it easily 4 times more since then. The chapters on mathematics originally went over my head; math is not a language I've ever understood well, but Freddy patiently explains the sacred geometry and why it is so amazing and proves that there is an intelligence behind them, even though he openly admits that he, nor anyone else, knows what intelligence that is. He also shares his own awe and spiritual awakening with the reader without beating one over the head or proselytizing. He gives educated guesses and speculates on what may be creating these, but also leaves it open for the reader to make up his or her own mind. The pictures of designs and the geometrical analysis is excellent; you can literally see why most of these could never be hoaxed by human beings. Especially not in the 10 seconds to 20 minutes in which many of them have suddenly appeared, sometimes in plain view of guards and tourists at historic sacred sites in Britain. Freddy does write in depth of the hoaxers claims and also covers the ongoing organized effort to discredit anyone who studies or researches crop circles and then has the audacity to say or write anything about them.I've read nearly all of the other books on crop circles and this is definitely the best. Freddy's tone is both serious and light; his love and admiration of the designs themselves and whoever creates them shines through on every page. I give this book away as gifts every year because it truly is a delightful one!

Very Informative
Freddy Silva presents a clear view of crop circles where he includes explanation on geometry patterns, magnetic fields, ley lines, sound, and many other scientific processes in a clear language for the reader. All his books are excellent!

Crop Circles
The best book that I have ever read on crop circles. Very well written, explained in great detail and Freddy really went to great lengths in his research. I will re-read it, as there is so much info to ‘drink in’ and would recommend it to anybody who is interested in this subject.

Broadens the mind.
In the past I've had various crop circle photos and calendars put to me but its never raised much more than an inaudible grunt. But after listening to Silva on Mysteries of the Mind radio, I didn't hesitate in going on-line and getting his book. Regardless if you believe crop circles are made by ET's or not, the consciousness that is behind them is intriguing to say the least. How is it that tests of the soil inside the circles show no moisture yet soil outside the circle does? Why do compasses not work? Why do people feel nauseous and experience time loss inside them? Why does it take the fakers two days instead of the minutes the real ones take to make and even then they still look forged? In terms of value for money I give Silva's work 5 stars purely because of the depth of material and glossy photos. There are interesting connections made to sacred geometry which after trying to digest Drunvalo Melchideks Flower of Life manuals I found quite useful. But those readers with more advanced knowledge of geometry may find it superfluous, but thats what fingers are for - skipping the bits you might already know.Personally I'm ambivalent if the maths and geometry formula's don't stack up to what's conventionally accepted. Quantum science at least shows we are energy based beings and our reality reflects our consciousness. Its quite apparent these designs are energetic in nature and hopefully will bypass the rational mind and speak directly to the Spirit.A very interesting book and I'd also recommend his DVD "Stairways to Heaven".Regards,Daniel John Hancock

Thank you, Freddy Silva
As a photographer, I've always enjoyed the beauty of crop circles, but haven't noticed much about them in mainstream media since the mid 80's, except a blip when the movie "Signs" came out. Thanks to Google's wonderful graphics around the anniversary of the "War of the Worlds", I came across sites with photos of recent crop circles. I've always wondered at the nay-sayers commenting that "9 out of 10 crop circles are hoaxes". So ... what about that other ONE? If it's not a hoax, what on earth is it? Freddy Silva apparently dedicated years of his life (not to mention his marriage) in search of meaning behind these anomalies; this book is a treasure trove of knowledge from a wide variety of scholarly and personal research. I personally know many artists who use the environment as their canvas, yet none could pull off such elaborate patterns in the dark for years on end without someone else discovering them (inadvertently or through boasting) let alone with such finesse as I've seen exemplified in numerous crop formation to date. Regardless, this book contains many thought provoking concepts as to be wonderful for anyone interested in crop circles (historic and modern) as well as music, light study, geometry, philosophy and mysticism. "Secrets in the Fields" portrays a wonderful examination of existence within the vast cosmic dance of light, sound, and the extraordinary beauty abounding on Earth. Buy this book, read it all, and wonder: what do the crop formations imply to you?

More 'mysticism' than 'science' - "Corn Circles is somebody playing a trick?"
Whether you think it is the aliens, the hoaxers, a bit of both, or are just undecided, I now know a lot more about this phenomena, including it's relatively recent history, the geometric designs, the characteristics and locations of the 'canvas', and some of the clever embedded imagery. Part 1 is very good, and tests my own thinking on the topic. I was 'entertained' by some of the content, loved the images and the passion evidenced by the participants. I was annoyed with the bias, poor 'science' and the lack of balance related to the beautiful but now extensive hoaxing. The minor grammar and sourcing issues didn't help here. I also loved the implicit insights in to the paranoid world of a 'crop circle researcher', sitting out all night and twitching at the military/media. It will appeal far more to the mystic believer than the skeptical scientist, but is great fun and you don't need to agree with any of it. It doesn't really help to answer any of the questions raised by those great 1990s philosophers, the Waterboys, and perhaps this is the allure: "Corn Circlesis somebody playing a trick?Corn CirclesPixies, witches, hoaxerstake your pickThrow a few theories out theresee what sticks!" (The Waterboys, 1993)

The best and most comprehensive write-up into crop circles
Iv'e always believed in UFO's and aliens but wanted to learn more about Crop Circles, this book gave me everything i wanted and more, it goes into the science of these circles, such as magnetic anomalies, the meaning and codes embedded within the designs such as advanced mathematical formulae and musical scales. The difference between real and fake circles, and personal accounts of the farmers and Freddy. All in all an excellent read, i will try and get out this summer and visit them. Thank you Freddy for dedicating your time to this investigation, this knowledge is so fascinating and world view changing.

Life changing book...
My interest on CropCircles comes from a very long time in my life. I was never a skeptical about CropCircles because when I always had the subject poping into my mind I had a great feeling that ordinary human beings were not involved in all of the Designs and this kind of deeply amazed me... but I was never brave enough to look into it as I didn't feel prepared to this knowledge, once you get into it your life will change forever.Freddy Silva covers all aspects of this amazing phenomena we call CropCicles and as far as he is aware he gives us a very detailed explanation about how the crops are formed, the meaning of some of them, their strategically location and why and much more...I'm proud of him by releasing a book like this and devote a lot of time of his life, like many others too, to investigate and share his findings. Maybe not for me but what is most shocking to people is the fact that Freddy explain the differences between fake Crops done by hoaxers and the Genuine Crops... So if you are a skeptic, this books is a must have!I knew I had to study and learn few things prior to get into this subject. My level of awareness was not high enough to understand and feel on its pure essence the kind of knowledge you'll find on this book.I think everybody should read this book really. The content in this book should be public knowledge and also been taught in schools since kindergarten. However as we know, the Scientific Community, Religion and Politics do not give the necessary importance to it. In fact they try to make a big joke of it because they know that once Humanity is aware about what's really going on They won't be able to stop us to evolve and free ourselves from their senseless dogmas. Control and centralized Power will fade and we will transform ourselves from offline organic beings to an online semi-digital another dimensional being.Everything I studied in my life about the understanding of our purpose on the third dimension has prepared me to the information I could find on this book.It is with much respect and appreciation that I salut Freddy Silva for this fantastic work to uncover the meanings behind CropCircles. As an Art Director (same as Freddy) I'm amazed with the complexity of the glyphs on the Crops. After carefully looking into them myself and others already had a feeling that those designs on the fields seemed extremely familiar. Now I understand that some of them are within us... perpetuating the infinite knowledge that the universe has to share.I have to state that this is more a personal feedback rather then an book review but this is what happens when you read those books that change your life forever.I wish all the best to Freddy and to all the others willing to increase their awareness, by reading this book you will definitely go up few steps on the ladder of cosmic evolution.I definitely recommend this book!

Fundamental read
Till the moment that is the most bold effort on the subject, it doesn't shy away from any possibility and goes deep in every path it takes, I would say it could analyse further a few small points, but it goes further than in other book that I read previously, really worth the money and time.

Fascinating read
Very well written and interesting account of this most fascinating of phenomena. Sadly the photos are too small for the Kindle format, hence the missing fifth star. Also the geometry went pretty much over my head! But these are minor details, this book is full of spirit and Freddy Silva`s passion and knowledge shine out from beginning to end.
