Amerileather Zip Top Leather Toiletry Bag Dark Brown

This is really nice bag and I feel that it will be a favorite bag for me when I travel.

A gift for a son---we looked at a lot of bags trying to find a real leather one in the classic design. The genuine, old-school Dopp kit is surprisingly elusive. This is it.We like this one because:1. The leather is gorgeous and smells great. (The brown one is a nice, deep natural-looking color).2. Opens WIDE at the top and locks when it is open all the way. Not all framed kits do this.3. The lining is what looks like water-resistant nylon.4. Simple design---a couple of mesh pouches inside and a small zippered interior pocket do not intrude into the main part of the bag.5. Smooth nylon zipper that closes what seems to be a very well-made bag. Rubber feet on bottom a nice touch.6. Size: just right. Large, but not huge. I would want a bag this roomy if I was traveling. For outings requiring just a few items I might get a small nylon bag.7. Price makes it a great value. You can spend a lot more and get much less.

The leather is okay at best and I liked that the opening was framed. It still zipped up fine and did the "dopp bag" pull open thing.Yet the leather was torn at some stress points like in the ends of the frame. The frame itself pushed through the intersection/tear, exposing metal. And some of the material looked sewn in an unfinished manner. Maybe I had a bad draw, but I would spend a little more and get something nicer. Especially since its an item that would only be purchased once or twice in a lifetime.

Just what I was looking for. I wanted something classy looking and leather. This bag was it. I was able to fit my safety razor, shaving soap, toothbrush, toothpaste and soap in it with no problem. Well I also put a full size contact solution bottle in it. I was kind of cramming more stuff in there. I did realize I carried so much stuff. Anyways, if you aren't such a girly man like me I'm sure you can get away putting all your toiletries in the bag and have some room left over. Now if you're going to stick a big bottle of lotion along with other bottles of stuff then you might have an issue with room.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband for Christmas. We have had it for only 5 months and it has probably only been used a handful of times and the zipper is already broken. It looks very nice, and it appeared to have been well made... guess not.

I purchased this Leather Toiletry Bag on 29 Oct 14 and have been using it every day since then. This bag has held up remarkably well and still retains its softness as well as that nice leather smell. After owning it for two years the zipper pull broke but the zipper itself did not; I made a zipper pull with a piece of 550 cord and it has worked flawlessly since then. I would not hesitate to buy one of these again.

I love the quality of this item. It is a rich dark brown cow hide and framed style bag which is exactly what I was looking for. I did a little shopping around locally and was going to have to pay much more for similar bags (not framed) made of steer hide. I like that it has rubber feet to keep it out of moisture.There is plenty of room in the bag and it was well received as a gift. I have a framed toiletry bag myself which opens wide and stays open so I can easily find the item I want.

I received the wrong item, but because I needed it for a gift that weekend I wasn't able to return it. So I'm not sure what this bag is like because I didn't receive the right bag...
