The tenon cutter works good. Use a planer or draw knife to remove some of the end to feed the cutter, it will work better and less frustrating. Mortise bit, forstner type, are really sharp and cut fast. When cutting the tenon you really need a jig with a super high grip/vise to hold your wood. If not the torque from the drill will make the wood piece spin, trust me. Lumberjack Tools sells two vise/wood holders here on Amazon. Even though some people believe that the vise is expensive the safety is worth it. A great kit for those who are interested in doing your own log furniture or log railing.

These are awesome, but you can't skimp on a drill,harbor freight won't work with these cutters I tried lol I now use a milwaukee 1680 1/2in angle drill does the job if your on the fence about these just buy them they are well built and work great ,I started to buy the billet ones but I don't really see the need unless you have the money and just want the ones made from billet.

works well, just remember to keep clearing out the hole because sawdust buildup will have your tenons getting shorter and shorter!

My husband had been wanting these tools for his furniture making hobby for some time. So, we finally bit the bullet and bought them last week. When set up correctly these are short work of mortise and tenoning green wood.

Haven't had a chance to try it yet but seems very well made. Only downfall is that I wish there were interchangeable blades from the straight angled finish to the curved blades for a curved finish.
