Schmidt K5 Push In Deluxe Fountain Pen Ink Converter (Pack of 2)

I wanted a Schmidt K5 converter to be able to enjoy a wide variety of bottled inks on my vintage Diabolo de Cartier fountain pen. The converter fits perfectly and works accordingly. I even have an extra converter in case I need it and the price for the two-pack was very attractive too. I am very happy with my purchase.

Schmidt cartridge converters are produced for many pen manufacturers, and are provided with your new pen as Original Equipment Manufactured (OEM) parts/accessories. If your fountain pens takes Standard International Short Cartridges, and has room in the body for two cartridges, this cartridge converter will fit, and work flawlessly, in your fountain pen. Some manufacturers (Lamy, Pilot, Platinum, Sailor) have their own proprietary ink cartridges and converters. If your pen does NOT take Standard International Short Cartridges, AND/OR doesn't have room for two cartridges in the body of the pen, this cartridge converter will NOT work in your pen.

Fits all my fountain pens and keeps a lost art alive. Good for and quality

I purchased these converter to replace one in a Wordsworth & Black pen. I saw other reviewers mention that the fit was tight to very tight. Mine was tight to the point of not being able to press any harder. I was ready to give up and lose the cost of the converters as well as the use of the W&B pen. In desperation I decided to try installing it on a Jinhao pen, which always felt like it had a "robust" build quality and maybe a looser fit. It took a hard press but it connected. Then, I took the converter that had been on the Jinhao, (and hopefully broken-in a bit) and it too went on after a very firm push. Once everything was assembled, the converters worked perfectly. I will grade them 4-stars because they work well and don't leak. I'll hold one star back due to the extra effort needed though I can't really blame them for the fit issue. Hope this helps someone in the future.

The original converter for my Wordsworth pen finally gave up the ghost. I'm currently using a cartridge and when it's empty I'll try the Schmidt K5 converter of this review. It appears to be well made. Eye balling the lineup, I think it will fit okay. We shall see.

Works great with the Amazon Basics Fountain pen. You have to press it in hard but once it's fitted it's very secure and well sealed. The overall quality of this converter is the best I gave seen on any standard international converter. It also holds a good volume of ink. It transformed my very basic, but very good performing, Amazon pen into a favorite EDC pen.

Got a fountain pen at a pen show a couple years ago. It came with a converter. I did not bother to ask questions or worry about the converter malfunctioning. Well it did. Thought since the fountain pen was one which was one of a kind the converter was also. Did some research and figured out it was a Universal Converter. After reading the reviews, even though I saw one which looked like my original, I selected this one. Could not wait until I used up the ink which was in the malfunctioning converter so I could put one of these in it. This one is much better. It is sturdy. It is no-frills but that is also what I love about it already. Glad it came as a pair although I doubt I will need the other one for this particular pen. I have perhaps a couple others or at least one which could also use this type of converter so having a spare is good. Arrived really fast and packaged well.

Perfect fit for Amazon basics pen. Never liked cartridges. This converter will give me more freedom to choose the ink color that I want. Fill it up and it will hold slightly more ink than the cartridge the pen came with. This is a screw type converter and not a plunger which I am not a fan of. One converter cost almost as much as the pen though, even when you buy them as a pair. Also remember this is just an ink container. Just by getting one of these, if you are looking to find a magical improvement in your pen, then this is not what you would want to buy. The performance of the pen depends on the nib quality, the ink delivery from the nib, the quality of the ink, the paper you are using and of course the way you write. Definitely satisfied.

Bought it for my Pelikan Twist pen. Functioning is perfect. It's a little loose in the socket, but that's because Pelikan's "standard" refill size is a little wider than what other brands use. Still, perfectly usable.

Excellent quality. Clean fountain pen prior to adding converter. Fill converter and firmly push in with a slight rotating motion of the converter. It takes quite a bit of force. Very pleased with the German workmanship.
