What can I say. The product itself is amazing! I typically serve it with whipped cream and an all berries fruit salad. It is always a hit in my house. The problem is somewhere in the delivery. The cans come all banged up. I buy this product frequently and a lot of times I get cans with several dents. This could affect the product inside becoming a problem. It is not a cheap product and the cans should be treated with care.

I am so glad I found this! I have been trying to find the distinct flavor of a dish I had in Europe a very long time ago and this was exactly it. I am so surprised this isn't more popular here in the USA - it's an absolutely amazing flavor profile. I haven't tried any of the other brands of Chestnut Puree/Spreads so I can't comment how this stacks up but I will agree with one of the other reviews that calls this perhaps a bit too sweet. It is perhaps a bit sweeter than I recall, but it is not sweet in the typical American 'too much corn syrup way', so it does not bother me. It's nice. I will get more

hands down the best! If you want chestnut spread this is the one you want to get, goes great with French crepes. I would recommend.

Flavor your pastry cream or drop a dollop on plain yogurt

Contains 600 g of sugar (60 tablespoons) in this 1 Kg can... Good recipe for disaster: diabetes or heart attack resulting in death... I love chestnut pure. I am Romanian, and chestnut pure is very popular there - as preserves ... with a bit of sugar and some essential flavors (rum or vanilla)... for cakes with chestnut puree and whipped cream.... This has NO flavor... It barely tastes like chestnuts, it is basically sugar with a bit of nut flavor to it.
