These oven mitts are sooooo nice. I love that they put no slip rubber right on the hand part so you feel no warmth or heat when pulling hot stuff from the oven and it grips what ever you are holding so it doesnt slip from your hand. I was nervous they would be to big and bulky but they aren't at all. I really like that they are a bit longer on my arm also as I have burned a few times and its not pretty. Over all I am very happy with these oven mitts. I am thinking of grabbing another pair and using them as a gift for the upcoming holidays.

I have arthritis and I love the thumb grip towards my palm (instead of on the side). It is so much easier for me to grip dishes!

Before when I grabbed a pot that had been cooking something on the stovetop, or when I took something out of a hot oven, I noticed that my hand (or hands) often got burned. With these oven mitts, I have not noticed that at all. Rating wise, I rated the mitts very low for warmth because I think these things - unlike other mitts - are supposed to keep your hands cool. Somehow they are thinner than other, more thick oven mitts, but still effective. The fact that they are red and can be used for puppetry while waiting for cookies to bake is only a plus in my book.

My family has been staunch supporters of pot-holders and towels instead of actual oven mitts for years (don't ask - I'm not sure why). I recently wanted to recreate a lobster costume for a Halloween office work party and needed some red claws last minute and these really surprised me with their high quality! Not only were they great for my costume but I have now been converted into an oven mitt lover. The way that the mitt has the thumb jetting out in the way it does is helpful when picking up trays and I feel that I have not once felt the heat through the mitts like I would with pot holders.

I always burn my arms when cooking big holiday dinners, and my dermatologist wanted me to get long oven mitts. I haven't used them in the past because they were so stiff and bulky that I couldn't get a good grip. My husband found these and I love them! They are nice and long so cover my lower arms, have a good grip pad and are soft and flexible.
