Nite IzeFlipOut - Low Profile Folding Handle and Stand with 3M VHB for Smartphones with 3M VHB, Spectrum

While the joint to pop it out is a little stiff, this a sturdy and rather low profile alternative to plastic phone grips. It's not as rounded for the fingers as the plastic ones, so if you're using this kind of thing for many hours a day, comfort may need to be weighed against the low profile and better sustainability of metals. The adhesive is great so far, and it doesn't impede use of my car mount or weigh very much at all.

It's stuck to my phone case really really well. I love being able to set my phone on my desk at an angle so I can see anything that pops up or if I'm watching videos. It makes it easier to hold my phone but since it's metal it's not exactly the most comfortable thing. It always leaves indents on my fingers but I don't ever have to use it to hold my phone for long periods of time. If I did, I wouldn't like it as much. My boss liked it so much I ended up getting one for them & they like it on their phone as well. I recommend this if you don't have sensitive hands!

I mean it does its job I guess.Pros: the color is pretty, I got the rainbow one. It does its job as a phone grip.Cons: I don’t like the middle part where you hold I mean, it’s a bit uncomfortable because of how it’s made, and makes an indent in my finger when holding my phone. I also don’t like how it opens, I would’ve expected it to be smooth while opening if you know what i mean?

This is useful. The slim profile doesn't catch on your pocket.

April 2023 Update: yeah I rescind my prior 5 star review. Didn't even last a year, the metal hinge pin broke and the bottom plate fell off :( 0/10 would not recommend.July 2022: I've had Popsockets tear on me and ring phone holders feel super uncomfortable and insecure. This Nite Ize holder/stand hits the sweet spot of low profile x high durability. It'll still be a bump that makes your phone wobble when you set it down but definitely thinner than a Popsocket

My husband purchased one of these for his phone, and used it for a Little while, and then he suggested it for my son. I said, “I want too”, so he ordered two more. One for me, and one for my son. Of course using our Amazon prime a lot of stuff gets here now within one to two days, and these came fast. I love the multicolor one my son got. Me and my husband got silver, but the multicolored one is so cool! My son loves it for fidgeting of course. He is always opening and closing it, just like I used to do with my pop socket. He also uses it a lot to stand his phone up to watch YouTube. I have a few different cases, but only one of these little gems, but it fits great on the back of case with my steelie to hold up in the car while I am driving. I was a little worried at first there would not be enough room on the back of my case for one of these plus my steelie. Fits perfectly. I love and use mine for a stand and also like I used my pop socket. I hold it while I text, type, talk, and whatever else. They are really cool little gadgets and we would all recommend getting one, and get this brand too. We love Them!!

The quality wasn't as good as I was hoping for the one I had bought prior to this I liked much better

...because while that 3M adhesive is pretty good, it's not the absolute best, even though I had taken great care in making sure the mounting surfaces were clean. I had to reattach mine using a good 5-Minute epoxy... and then THAT failed because the metal on the mounting surface of the kickstand was too smooth! I had to take a metal file to mine and scuff up the mounting surface so the epoxy would hold better. (Yes, this works!)Otherwise, it works as advertised.The only other issue is that if you plan on using this on an iPhone 12 and intend to make use of a Magsafe dashboard mount, it will give you problems in that it has to be mounted at the bottom edge of the Magsafe ring in your iPhone. I had to mount mine so it protrudes from the bottom of my phone. But hey! BONUS! With that metal tab sticking out at the bottom it's been helping to protect any charger cables I put my phone onto. And we all know how much it sucks to accidentally break off one of those lightning connectors in an Apple device.
