Great little panel
I got this when I decided to rip out the builder's Cat-5 in my 5 year old house and do it right with Cat-6. I never did like the way the builders did things.Since I didn't need more than 12 runs, this was the most cost effective one I found, and it did a great job.Came with plastic cable management ovals for the back, one on each side, that snap on or off easily enough. Was very well spaced out in back, and very easy to punch down each group of wires.Inexpensive and worked - can't ask for more.

Easy to use, great for smaller spaces
Great, easy to use. Fit nicely in small space. I used the TRENDnet punchdown tool (TRENDnet Punch Down Tool with 110 and Krone Blade TC-PDT) with Krone blade which seemed to work better.

Inexpensive, comes with brackets to fit into a standard rack. Secure punchdowns, trouble free performance.I have two of them mounted one above the other in my network closet feeding my whole house.

it's a good value for the money
I mounted it to a piece of plywood on a wall in my garage, and it's a little flimsy in that situation, hence one star off. Punch down was painless with no issues, and ports were reasonably well marked. No functionality issues using 4 ports.I'd buy it again, and probably will, it's a good value for the money.

8 is not enough
After getting my house wired with CAT6 cable I think that 8 ports is not enough. I think I should have gone with the larger unit, but at the time I only needed to wire 4 rooms with two cables in each. If you are going to do HDMI and internet, you will need atleast three cables per room and you will also want some backups in case you kink a wire. Go larger than you need.

Easy to punch down, full speed throughput
This patch panel is well sized, and the connection layout made it easy to punch down cable, even for a novice using the cheap plastic tool that came with one of the keyhole terminations I purchased. I get full gigabit throughput from the Cat6 connections to my switch and router.

The ports that work fine do work
I found that 2 of the ports seem to not function properly. I used this to run security cables into and then jumpers from the patch panel to the security box. After replacing cables I found that 2 ports didn't seem to function properly. The ports that work fine do work.
