Very nice knife for the money
This is a surprisingly nice knife, considering the low price. The blade is ground very thin and it is easy to get it razor sharp. The spring is strong, but the knife opens and closes smoothly.

Not Worth The Money.
Firstly, I don't think this knife is worth the $24.95 I paid for it. In the UK it's £25, so it's no cheaper there - it's not even cheap in France !From new, the back of the blade was sharp from the stamping out process, plus, to add to its pocket shredding qualities, the blade tip was proud by about 1mm in the closed position !Not good. I sorted this with a file. The one piece knife body is made of mild steel with a bright plate coating (nickel) - not chrome, or polished stainless, as some people think. Now, for this type of plating to be durable, it needs to be done correctly. I somehow doubt that it was, as the whole knife looks like it has been made on the cheap. Cheap, as in addition to its sharp edges, the plating showing up imperfections where the tooling wasn't kept clean, or is worn (or both) during the manufacturing process. The blade is easy to sharpen - possibly too easy.......After hacking away at a piece of pine, the blade was losing its edge - though it would still cut through paper. The pine carving has left the blade with a small amount of side play in the closed position which prior to the carving it didn't have. The back spring is strong, but not ridiclously so.The bail has no sharp edges. The knife fits easily into a trouser pocket and is comfortable to use.If the knife was $10 - $15 I'd have given it 4 stars. There's a LOT, of competition in the $25 price range, and for what I paid for the knife, it simply isn't worth that money.

Love this knife
I own at least one of all the Douk Douk knives & this Squirrel is the best in my opinion. It has a normal shaped blade unlike the others & it appears to be a bit longer. It arrived razor sharp. It's easy to open/close & fits into the hand naturally. All these knives are really great knives but without a doubt, the Squirrel is my favorite.....which is funny because I understand it's the least known & purchased. Maybe it's because it doesn't have a fancy shaped blade....look at the photo of this knifes blade, it's just a plain ole razor sharp back-ally gutter!
