I initially loved this harness. My dog was in between sizes so I went for the larger one which was not a good idea, my pup backed out with minimal effort, so I bought the smaller size.But now after having it for around 2 months I have found it doesn't hold up, the harness seems to have stretched and even with velcroing it as tight as possible it is still too big to secure my dog properly, which is insane as when I first got the harness it was on the tight side. It worked well at preventing my dog from backing out, but as it stretched my dog can now wiggle out with minimal effort.If you don't have a dog that pulls then maybe the harness won't stretch, but my 14 lb dog was able to pull hard enough to mess up the harness within 2 months.If you have a perfect dog, then this is fairly cheap harness that seems to be comfortable. But if your dog pulls be prepared to have to replace it due to stretch.

I bought the reflective vest for my 12.2 pound rescue. She's actually between an extra small and a small but I opted for small and made up the difference by pulling the velcro a little tighter. It works for her and I don't have to worry that her "vest" is cutting into her skin. The reflective vest is very bright when light hits it so I feel safer walking her after sunset.Some have commented that the fit is a little weird and I do agree that there could be some beneficial modifications in the cut of this, but overall I think it's a good product at a good price, and with a social benefit.

I bought this particular brand because when consumers buy one, the company donate one to a dog rescue or shelter. I purchased an extra small. These seem to run a bit on the large side.I got the purple one. It's a very vibrant color and looks great. The glow in the dark feature was not what I expected. The vest or harness does not actually glow in the dark - there are two small grey rectangles of material sewn in on either side of the neck which are reflective.

This harness is soft, doesn't choke our pup when he pulls, and fits our dachsie though many other harnesses recommended for them did not. Our dog is 12 around the neck, 19 around the chest, and about 13 lbs. The medium worked as the velcro can tighten but wasn't ideal. We are keeping it for over his vest in the rainy season. The small is perfect and back in stock on the max and neo website. The customer service is great. Besides that they donate to rescues, they answered my question promptly, and even emailed to let me know they would be getting smalls in soon. It was an issue with their supplier. Also, the price is great! I am buying several and also like their collars.

I bought an XS for my dog and it was too small. I then purchased a S-M and it was too big. I cannot find a size SMALL anywhere, so I'll have to create my own out of the two I purchased. My son's dog has one, it looks great, and the dog loves it!!!! I would highly recommend this harness.

I don’t usually leave reviews, however....I have a Border Terrier pup...almost 5 months, 11.5 lbs. His XS harness fits fantastic. Is easy to put on and is so secure. It has a Velcro closure first for perfect snugness every time, not too tight and not too loose, then a snap buckle that is high quality and secure, last his leash hooks through two metal loops, one from each side, that adds to the security....if he jumps off something with his harness and leash on, he is safe and unharmed and I can just lift him back up, and his leash doesn’t tangle as badly when on walks. I use this harness every day.....easy to clean (I clean by hand) and dries well when he gets soaked from any type of water he can find, sprinklers, puddles, rivers...And very reasonably priced.Highly recommended...and the Max and Neo Company’s support of dog rescue shows their love and dedication....win-win all the way

After purchasing 3 different harnesses to fit the 5 lb. Chihuahua that I rescued last week, this one is the winner. Well made and looks very smart on her. So I also ordered their leash and collar in pink but am hoping that she doesn’t look too matchy matchy. And the manufacturer donates in kind to other rescues. How do you beat this?

My dog has a 12" neck and a 19" girth so this should've fit according to the sizing they have listed. It wasn't even close. I purchased both the small and medium sizes since she's right in the cusp of the sizes and neither of them fit. The medium didn't even come close to closing. The size they have listed for a medium is a neck size of 13-14" and a girth of 19-21". I don't know what they used to measure these. It must've been a miniature ruler for dolls. Such a huge frustration and a waste of time. The seller should pay me for having to drive to the ups store to return this.
