The price is so cheap, buy two!
Can't speak to longevity at this point as I just installed it last night... but after 24 hours of a 90 degree house, this is WELL worth the $20 price tag. I just ordered a spare to have on hand.Be sure you know what you're doing as this is live 240v territory... cut the breaker, pull the fuse, and multi-meter the lines to make sure they are dead... then use an insulated screwdriver to discharge the old capacitor before you possibly take 400v to your hand. Once unplugged you can verify with a multi-meter what your voltages are from H-C and F-C to confirm it is discharged fully. Then dispose of it, pop in the new one, put it back together, power it up... Enjoy the cool air and the knowledge that you just saved HUNDREDS of dollars and hours of discomfort.

Good replacement for Goodman part # CAP050400440RT
Worked well in my Goodman A/C unit (Goodman's part # is CAP050400440RT). Ordered Sunday morning and had it Monday morning (very grateful, unit went out during heat way).

Did the job
Did the job. Make sure it is compatible with the capacitor you are replacing.

Didn't last even 2 years
Lasted less than 2 years. Expected better but guess that's what you get at this price and so subtracting only one star from the rating. Going to buy a made-in-USA one and based on reviews, that one's expected to last much longer.

It Works
It works. Went outside, fan wasn't spinning on the condenser unit and it was making a bit of a humming noise. I don't think you always get the noise, but once you do all the simple troubleshooting, I'd look here next. If the capacitor looks swollen or corroded--its probably bad. You can test it to verify, lots of videos online that can show you how (wordofadvicetv). Be careful if you do this work because it is dangerous if you don't follow basic safety precautions (again watch the videos).Anyhow, I got it from Amazon in 24 hours, and swapped it out in 15 mins. Much faster than calling a HVAC tech and at least $200 cheaper (assuming your HVAC guy is honest and doesn't just tell you your compressor is broken--then quote you $2000). I bought two just to have one on hand. I have no idea of the longevity of the product. I've got a spare now and if they don't last I'll update this post and let you know if I figured out if there is a more reliable version.

Good price and it seems to be doing the job.
I know nothing about DIY but switching out my old capacitor for this one was easy. It's working great.
