Although the fact is there were not many choices in this size, I am pleased with everything but the price, which seems high but competitive by today's standards.I have installed one and have two to do yet. I used construction adhesive for fitment and a diamond wheel in the angle grinder for tweaking the opening due to previous mortar needing to be removed. Seems I had to massage one of the dimensions a bit but not much.Once secure in the opening, it seems quite suitable and secure from intrusions.

I bought these after trying 5 other products to fix/replace 22 year old vents in a neighbors house. The two advantages of this product are; cost (obviously) and the light weight construction. The older home I was fixing had heavy cast metal vents that had deteriorated over time. Each had been set into mortar decades ago as it was a brick house . As the house moved (sinking) the vents broke and the openings were neither square or sized 8x16. Being able to cut and bend these vents allowed me to reuse the original openings without spending half a day on each hole. The only problem I had with these vents was that several were either bent or broken in shipping/handling. I could re-bend and fix all but one. My total buy was 11 with one used as a replacement. I did use two with broken tabs to make one good one. But I have no complaints. They made what could have been a miserable job easy!

flimsy. one opening it installed loose and the next one was so tight i ended up bending it. good value tho. works for most part.

There were so many to choose from, but I didnt' want plastic. These have easy slide closures for the winter, they look nice and were not too difficult to install. Win, win, win.
