I bought this Titanium Spork after having used the plastic versions for a few years... They're very useful, and only lacking when using a frying pan... they simply melt. So after using/melting 4-5. I bought a metal version. And a Titanium one will be almost as light as the plastic... but last many many many times more.For a start, there's no moving parts... always a good thing for reliability. Due to it's shape it's occupies a little more space than a folding or multiple utensil. But for Hiking and Bikepacking/Backpacking... it's perfect. Only a longer utensil would be handy when cooking, especially in deeper pots or bags. But then you're in the realms of simply getting a separate utensil.

I like the fact that as Ti it is far more robust than plastic alternatives. Seems easy to clean and like stainless it wont corrode easily but is lighter.

Purchased for my elderly mother. She is very pleased with it

I bought this spork for my daughter who travels a lot.Ideal as it's lightweight and easily cleaned and stored.Good value too.

I bought this for work as I work with a high risk client group and prefer my own utensils. its bigger than I expected and did take a couple of meals before I got to grips with it. its very lightweight and easy to clean. I love it.

If you had a titanium bike frame made of this stuff you'd be piled up in the hedge in no time - the proverbial "lead pipe bike". Even titanium alloys build upon the characteristics of pure titanium, in that it's hard, strong and springs back to shape. What is this stuff? It says it's 100% titanium, but it's all soft and easily bent. I'm used to titanium being hard and very stiff. Titanium is springy; in fact titanium can be an expensive alternative to steel coil springs. This spork is not in the slightest springy: you bend it and it stays bent. Titanium is not dark grey like this spork, but a light grey, just a bit darker than aluminium and stainless steel. This spork does not appear to me to be titanium at all. There are no machining marks on the spork, and the surface looks like a coating. It's not like bead-blasting but like a powder-coat. I suspect that it's a chemically produced coat of titanium carbon nitride (which is this shade of dark grey) over some thin aluminium. Titanium carbon nitride is not titanium at all: actually it's a durable ceramic coating.

Ich habe lange Jahre die Lightmyfire Titan Spork genutzt und daher einen Vergleich zu dem hier angebotenen Produkt. Wie in anderen Rezensionen geschrieben, scheint es sich hierbei nicht um Titan zu handeln. Der "Göffel" federt nicht zurück und sieht vom Material auch anders aus als die Version von Lightmyfire. Ich bleibe beim Original, auch wenn es wesentlich teurer ist. Titan halt ...
