The Very Best Cheese Knife I've Found!
This cheese knife is a winner! Having owned a few different cheese knives and slicers, they all seem to work okay. However, this knife marketed for soft cheeses works better than anything I've used. With its thin profile and truly sharp edge, this excellent stainless steel knife cuts both soft and medium-hard cheeses like a dream... from Brie to Compte. I first saw this BOSKA knife used by Liz Thorpe, the "Cheese Goddess" shown on YouTube comparing various Trader Joe cheeses. I was impressed with the ease and cleanliness it cut a variety of cheeses. I searched a bit and found it on Amazon at a great price. To be candid, this BOSKA knife works less well on very hard and dense, highly aged cheeses. On such brick-hard cheeses a heavy wire or a larger stout-bladed cheese knife often cuts easier, and they typically offer a bit better control while slicing. Again this BOSKA is intended as a soft cheese knife. On the whole, I could not be more pleased with the quick and clean cuts this knife makes with the vast majority of cheeses. The design is very attractive, super easily to keep clean, and it cuts a variety of cheeses better than any other cheese knife I've used. It puts a smile on my face every time. Check one out for yourself... you'll be glad you did.

The offset blade design helps with soft cheeses
I saw this used in a Youtube video and wanted to try it. Of course, no one locally had one so I ordered it. It arrived cleverly packaged in a cardboard cutout inside a printed box. I do wish it had a little protective cover because I did not have the space to store it in the shipping box. However, it did arrive sharp and I can always hone it if the drawer storage causes any issues. I tied it on a Brie first and it performed just as expected. The offset probably has more to with success than the sharpness of the blade but it yielded perfect results. I moved up in cheese hardness until a farmhouse cheddar caused me some safety concerns. One must assume that guests will use any utensil handy and this is far more suitable for less firm cheeses. Just place this on a board with the soft cheeses and place the hard cheeses on a separate board with an appropriate cheese knife. I really like this cheese knife and am still wondering whay I did not find an offset knife like this before.

Works really well for soft cheese
The skinny side area is great for soft, sticky cheeses like Brie or Mozzarella. Much less clingy than normal knives. These are well made and look good. They also match some other nice cheese knives from Boska for harder cheeses.
