I don't leave many reviews anywhere online but this product deserves my time! This is my first headlamp and I have to say this light is very bright! It has 2 different cycles with 5 different options in each cycle. Cycle 1 is what I use and with just 1 light (first click) it's so bright! I can see clearly for about 100 yards (maybe even further) in the dark in this mode. The 2nd & 3rd click don't add that much distance just width and a slightly different beam. The 4th click is just a simple light to see what you are doing within hands reach but this mode will last for they say 20 hours. I haven't tested this for 20 hours yet but I can believe it. The 5th Click is all the lights lit (again not much brighter because it's already bright but adds a slightly larger beam. After I tested it briefly in my back yard (maybe 10 min total) I turned all the lights on and let it sit until it died which was about an hour & 15 min plus the 10 min I was tinkering with it outside. The 2nd cycle also has 5 clicks but it's a red & blue light (like a cop) and you can add the center light to it with another click and with another click the main light taps SOS with the red & blue lights going. I guess this cycle would be great in an emergency on the side of the road or in a boat. I hope I never use this cycle! For the money I'd buy it again but hopefully it lasts and I won't have to. I guess there are batteries you can buy to replace these but I'm not there yet and don't really need them as the time it stays lit is good for my needs.

I thought this unit was going to be really heavy with the big battery. I did not realize the rechargeable batteries were so huge until I got it. But, once you put it around your head with the third strap, it is really not noticeable. The weight of the battery pack in the back. It seems bulky but I didn't mind it once it was on. I would not be jogging with it, that's for sure. But, if you are camping and want a light leading the way, this is really good for it. That was why I bought it anyway. When I am outdoors at night.The light is really bright. The 2 side LEDs are pretty pointless to have. It's there, but I didnt see a need for it. I like it so much, i am giving it 5 stars because it is a big upgrade over my other 2 pack that I got from a brick and mortar for $20 last year. It seems these things get brighter every year.

I am the General Manager for an Electrical Contracting Firm. I was looking for a high quality headlamp for my guys hardhats in the field to allow them to do their jobs safely and with the best possible light to work in. I had done extensive research read multiple reviews and weighed the pros and cons of probably 100+ headlamp systems and decided to go with the Alyattes so we purchased 4 for the initial mock ups.When the lights arrived we inspected them and they seemed to be spot on a great product good lighting, multiple modes, safety lighting to allow my guys to be identified in dark areas from the front and behind (we have worked on disaster sites from tornado damaged locations to Hurricane Katrina restoration) so high visibility is very important for what we do.We set the hard hats up with the Black Jack support system and mounted the first Alyattes headlamp to the hard hat. It looked great the lead electrician liked the feel and balance so everything was looking good. He went to turn the light on to see ease of functionality since we will be operating these while wearing the hardhat and....nothing. No light came on. After a quick inspection we noticed the wire grommet that holds the power cabling into the battery pack from the headlamp had popped out and 2 of the wires (blue and red) had separated from the battery pack area. Without disassembling the light we can only assume that they broke from the circuit board.This is very disappointing as we had high hopes for these lighting systems. Just seemed a little to easy to damage right out of the box mounting them to a hard hat as outlined in the description of the product "BEST HARD HAT LIGHT".Also for their marketing team - The box that the lights are packaged in looks really great but their are misspellings and phases that do not make sense all over it not just in one location.May want to think about better quality control - Unfortunately looks like I will need to return at this headlamp purchase - Honestly having to decide whether to return them all or just this one. Want to have a product we can rely on in tough situations.

It is a good product, but its battery only takes 30 minutes continuous. to run out

Got this for my husband because he loves these things. He uses them at work on Military Post. The power button is not small as others say. It's right there on the lamp itself and easy to get to and push. The battery works great too. It's bright and with his line of work, he needs good quality so I would have to say this is a good quality product. The light is bright, it's comfortable to wear for long periods at a time and the battery lasts pretty long. Overall, I recommend this product if you need quality and durability.
