Saregama Carvaan 2.0 Hindi Portable Music Player 5000 Pre-Loaded Songs with Podcast, FM/BT/AUX (Classic Black)

It serves well to all who acquire the carvaan 2.0 for entertainment as it contains Hindi Bollywood films songs starting from year 1950 to 2010 offline bifurcated in sections Artists, Special and Geetmala . A modern feature is added in the form of WiFi. The WiFi feature connects to Application based feature Carvaan which may be downloaded on mobile phones. Its WiFi feature is very limited and requires its expansion to All world Radio stations and Podcasts . At present WiFi feature is inadequate. The device is also a FM and MW Radio. FM works well as I am at prime location but not sure that it will work well at remote locations in villages of India.Its Bluetooth feature makes it a very good speaker which may be connected to phones and computers to listen music through carvaan 2.0 . Body is made using good materials and finishing is very good. Size of the body is optimal. Curves on all its corners make it a very attractive in design. Handle adds additional beauty to the design. It may be operated manually as well as by remote. Remote does not contain On/Off button so when wishing to shutdown the carvaan 2.0 not possible by remote.It contains a chargeable battery. Battery backup is moderate. Charger is not there in the package. A charging cable is supplied instead of charger.

I bought the Saregama Carvaan 2.0 from Amazon and I’m really happy with it. The packing was very good and the product arrived safely. The build feels premium, and the sound quality is excellent — clear and rich. The remote works smoothly, and even the Wi-Fi feature connects and functions perfectly. Song selection is great with a wonderful mix of classics. Overall, a perfect product for music lovers!

The on off switch feels dodgy.otherwise a good piece

Wonderful product with excellent collection of songs.

I purchased this product and since the set did not pair with wifi/hotspot, asked for a replacement, which was received the very next day. I felt happy and tried to connect the replacement set with wifi/hotspot and that also did not pair. I am using Samsung and Xiaomi mobiles and in both the phones this product did not pair. I raised a complaint with Saregama Service centre, Chennai and they came to my residence and tried to connect it with wifi on my two mobiles. They also found it difficult and the set did not pair with wifi/hotspot on my both mobiles. But paired with the service attendants' mobile hotspot. The service attendant was unable to explain why the set did not pair with my two mobile hotspots and wifi. Hence the service attendant left the set as it is. As such, I returned the product. When the set connected with the service attendant's mobile, I noticed that only HINDI songs, podcasts etc., were only available in wifi mode. No other language is there. The reason maybe it is the Hindi version. The very purpose of purchasing the set with wifi is to hear the audio from the internet in all languages and it did not serve the purpose. Hence the non-hindi speaking people may find it useless. Saregama should come forward to give all languages in wifi mode so that all can purchase it. I did not expect this type of programming by Saregama Creators. I am giving 1 star since there are no zero stars available. Final Conclusion: 1) I recommend purchasing from the local shop by connecting your mobile with the set If you know HINDI and want to hear Hindi programmes, podcasts, music etc., Make sure you purchase it in a local shop by connecting your mobile. Otherwise, it is a waste, since it will play only preloaded 5000 Hindi songs. 2) For non-HINDI speaking people it is of no use since it will play only HINDI programs in wifi mode if your mobile is connected with wifi. All at liberty to hear all the preloaded 5000 Hindi songs. This is my view. 3) No on/off function is available in the remote. You have to operate it in set only. 4) Sound quality is good. 5) For Hindi lovers it is good value for money if connected to wifi. For non-hindi people, it is not good value for money.

I haven't received charger in my order.

Sound is good. Radio feature in Secunderabad does not work other than occasional cracking side or faint sound, we thought external antenna will be helpful in making the radio better but Big NO. If you are thinking this would be useful as FM radio, strictly No. The inbuilt songs are OK but the price point is clearly not justified. I feel cheated paying Rs. 7000+ for suboptimal radio, I expected better than 300 Rs. roadside FM!
