Life changing
I had given up hope on ever removing the mildew from my deck furniture and canvas cushions. Although our deck furniture was kept outside under a covered deck, most everything was still subjected to the fickle, moist Ohio summers. Add to that drippy popsicle messes, and a band of homeless cats that routinely took up residence on the cushions at night, and you can imagine how literally disgusting the furniture on our deck was by the end of the summer. The cushions had both spotty mildew and dirt. To note, the instructions specifically state that this product is not for use on fabric. I decided to ignore that, as it was this or buy new cushions. I absolutely cannot believe how well this stuff works. I used it on four different types of materials, with impressive results. I do have a few suggestions for use...wear protective eye wear and wear a filter mask. I went bonkers spraying this stuff on my porch swing, and almost passed out from the fumes. It smells worse than straight bleach. Use this outside, on a relatively windless day, or you'll feel the burn on your skin. I'm not really a safety freak, but I do think eyewear, long sleeves, a mask, and sturdy gloves are a must. Wear something you don't mind ruining. That being said, I tried my deck swing first. It is that weird plastic wood composite stuff that's supposed to last forever, but it's white, so it shows everything. I sprayed the entire swing, and waited about 10 minutes before rinsing with my garden hose. Most of the spotty black gunk was gone, but I wasn't truly happy until I used a second application. The swing looks brand new again. Then I moved onto the cushions. I opted against testing an inconspicuous spot, and went to town. This stuff removed not only the mildew, but also the dirt from the cats. A few spots I had to treat twice, but the cushions look amazing. The cushions are a light teal color, so they show everything. I also used it on the multi colored patterned pillows- no problems with the colors bleeding or running. Also just hosed these off and left them in the sun to dry. Honestly I though for sure this would bleach the colors, or leave white spots all over, but that didn't happened. I moved on to the plastic deck box and outdoor garbage cans. Same awesome results, and no scrubbing required. So far, this has been the best cleaning day of my life. I live with my husband and gaggle of grimy active children, so to have something this clean is nothing short of a miracle. The last place I tried this product was on the greenish algae spots on my house siding. I had to use a stiff bristled brush, and a little elbow grease, to get everything, but it wasn't terribly difficult. I probably didn't need the brush, but I didn't want to spray this stuff above my head, and experience the rain down, so I applied some on the brush and scrubbed that way. I feel like this product has a multitude of uses. I can't wait to tackle the outdoor umbrellas next. I bought the gallon size, and used about half of it to treat 6 cushions and pillows for our deck set, 4 decorative pillows, a deck box and cushion, porch swing, two garbage cans, and about , 6x6 foot area of algae covered siding. A little goes a long way, but if the area you are treating is heavily soiled, plan on two applications. Also, if you really like your stuff, and you're not completely desperate, I would test any fabric for colorfastness prior to use.

Cleaned up moldy vinyl seats on my boat.
Purchase this to clean some black mold that was growing on my boats vinyl seats from being underneath of a cover that had torn where water had gotten inside underneath of the cover. My vinyl seats are white and color, and this product worked perfectly with no damage to the vinyl. I would highly recommend it.

Fantastic
Used this on our boats seats and it worked beautifully. Sprayed it on and let it sit for a few as the instructions said and the mildew stains just disappeared. Used a little scrubbing on some areas but it mostly came off after letting it sit. Rinsed and the seats looked nearly good as new. It also worked well on the hull.

Rv awning product maybe...
I used this to clean my RV awning. After sitting in outdoor storage for a few years in storms uncovered I was finally not able to clean with bleach any longer as had worked previously. I thought I would give this a try. Since it was a bit windy I started with a very small section. It did remove a significant amount of mildew and staining but not 100%. I sprayed some on a wood floor cleaner mop and wiped the awning. Again there was an improvement but it did not remove all of the staining. Note I previously had tried bleach and water and let it soak as well with no improvement at all. I was able to treat my whole 20ft awning and still have a small amount of the 22oz bottle left. I sprayed the cleaner and let it set. It improved more over time letting it sit before rinsing it off. While it has done good work it has not been perfect for the awning. I still need to get a scrub brush and try this again however it has left spotting and streaks all over the side of the trailer due to dripping and spraying. Given the chemicals involved I wore a simple mask eye protection and gloves as directed. I did not encounter any issues or irritation but it seems extreme to try and use this overhead due to the bottle warnings. If I had seen the same results others are getting I may be willing to take consider it as worth the risk for a one time use but since I have to do it again I am not sure. I will have to gear up for one more try and then make sure that I have time to wash the trailer afterwards in addition to the awning and myself. I may come back to this again in a year but for now I am happy enough not to worry.

Magic! Here are some tips.
Had a serious mildew problem on all my outdoor cushions this year - so bad I was seriously thinking of throwing out my expensive Schumacher fabric pillows. I bought a bottle of this and thought “oh well, here goes.” Wow - most of the little black specks disappeared in about 5 minutes on my test pillow. In a few particularly bad areas, I left on about 10-15 minutes and gently used a soft brush. Good as new! Cleaned other spots and dirt as well - didn’t need any additional cleaners. After cleaning all my cushions, I have a few tips: 1) first do a colorfast test in a small inconspicuous area to make sure you don’t have color bleed (I didn’t experience this but you never know). 2) make sure work space is well ventilated - strong smell. 3) wear gloves! I stupidly didn’t and got moderate chemical burns on my finger tips. This was after working with product for a couple of hours. 4) I ended up mixing 1 part Starbrite with 3-4 parts water in a bucket and it worked just fine. Using it straight may be needed for really bad areas but give the diluted mix a shot (10-15 min). 5) rinse well - it takes a while to get all the product out. This is what lead to my diluting mix - much easier to rinse.

I was gifted a tent trailer that had been neglected for a few years and had heavy mildew all over the interior. Worried about the fabric, we tried all kinds of more "natural"/less harsh remedies; lemon, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, etc. They lightened the spots a bit, but they were still very noticeable. I then bought some non-bleach mold/mildew killer/stain remover from the local home renovation store. Same thing, possibly even less effective. I read about this product on Reddit and a few other places online and decided I didn't have anything to lose - replacing the vinyl fabric on my 2012 trailer would cost $2500+... The results were phenomenal! I protected the trim pieces and metal sliders with some old cloths, sprayed it on quite liberally with a dollar store spray bottle, waited about 30 minutes and wiped it off with clean water and a sponge. The spots were either gone entirely, or almost gone! Some spots required two or 3 applications, I probably could've helped the product along by scrubbing first or something, but at this point I was past caring and wasn't really hoping for much. Long term, I don't know if this will degrade the fabric, but as I said - it was this or the trash! It does have a very strong odour and strict warnings about eyes, breathing, and skin protection - believe it! Get as much ventilation as you can, wear old clothes (it dripped on my shirt and took the colour out), protect your eyes and wear gloves. tl;dr - It works and smells strong (like bleach). Not 100% sure it's entirely safe on the vinyl fabric since I didn't ask trailer manufacturer. Ps. Pictures are from about 2 weeks apart, that's why the lighting is different, but I promise it's the same trailer.

I really didn’t think the mildew stains would come off our boat when we removed the covers in the spring, but amazingly with a little bit of scrubbing with a sponge and rag, it did come off! 9O% off, and almost back to original condition. Will routinely use this every year at beginning of cottage season. Also works great in the shower on mildew and mold. Would buy again.
