Sakkas Everyday Essentials Cap Sleeve Caftan Dress/Cover Up

I ordered gray, I got green. I returned it. I have this brand dress. Fabric is very pretty and soft but does not hold up to wear. Eventually small holes begin to appear. Wash in cold water, always delicate. Dye might run on first few washings so wash alone. Hang to dry. Have had to replace dresses like this after a few summers. They don't last.

Cute dress but way too short on sides and way too long in front, otherwise would have liked it.

This garment has been washed separately in cold water 2 times since purchase. I wear my Sakkas cover-up/dresses with leggings in public.The sleeve has unraveled at the seams from the dress. The photo on the left is of the bottom area of each sleeve. The photo on the right is of the top area of each sleeve.I lined the sleeve seam inside the dress with a tissue so it would be easier to see the thread and how it separated the sleeve from the dress. Otherwise it would be difficult to see the holes had I laid the garment flat without tissue for definition.This cannot be used as a secondary garment, like a gown, because each wash would cause further and unraveling & deterioration. The side seams and hemming are intact.

I like the simplicity of this dress. The turquoise is not as saturated a color as the purple is (paler than the photo). Both fit me, I wear a size 22, the chest area is a bit snug but still comfy. The dress is cut on the bias of the fabric so it has a nice flowing hang to it in front, a bit slimming I think. The cap sleeves aren't cotton but some sort of polyester embroidered fabric which is OK just at the sleeves, it's see through but covers that top arm most of us like covered. You really can't beat it for the quality & price. I would buy much more of their things if they would leave the sequins alone, also leave some embroidery off sometimes also, not so much. Named right as everyday essential, it's nice to feel pretty around the house! The fabric is a bit see through so I add a slip when leaving the house but the thin fabric also keep sit cool for Summer.

I ordered two of these to be worn as "lounge" wear, but honestly, they are nice enough to pair with sandals as a loose fitting dress. In fact, I wore one with sandals to the mailbox....my neighbor who was also getting her mail....asked me where I got it as she loved the flowing look and length of the garment. I sent her the Amazon link and I am sure she has also ordered some. I wash them on gentle cycle in cold water and hang to dry and they are holding up just fine. Will probably order a couple more colors.

I love how flowy it is (some might find it too much but I like that look / feel) I was disappointed in the color (Sand) is more of a Mustard Color (was hoping it to be darker than beige but NOT yellow. I still like the color just not what I was looking for. The reviews made it seem that you would not need a slip underneath and that is NOT the case. IT is totally see thru (and this was in the house...so out in the sunlight...well, it would show EVERYTHING) so I will be getting a lightweight slip. I am keeping the dress even with these few issues since it is comfortable and will make a cute summer "throw on fast, get out the door" kind of dress.

It's more orange than in the picture and it's semi-sheer. That problem can be solved with a long silk t-shirt underneath, something with a scoop neck. If you're a short woman, under 5'4", it'll come to your ankles in front. It's a little shorter on the sides. If you're tall, say six foot or over, it'll be a little below your knees. If you're a 5x or above, nix it and head to the Sanctuarie store here on Amazon. The material is a slightly crinkled, stretchy cotton/polyester. It's very smooth. It would be a good idea to soak it overnight in a strong vinegar solution to set the dye. When you wash it, put it in a large lingerie bag and wash it on cold with Charlie's Soap. It is large, but I wanted large. But the material is very dainty; it won't make you look like a clipper ship under full sail when you sail out in it. It's definitely worth the money.

These dresses make up most of my wardrobe. I wear them around the house or go out with a nice sweater or jacket over them for dinner or parties (wearing a half or full slip or chemise underneath since they can be see-through). I love all of these dresses and have them in dozens of colors and patterns. Love the material as it is breathable and comfortable to wear as well as the fit. I also use them for travel as a dinner dress, nightgown and swimsuit cover-up. Very versatile, beautiful and comfortable. They are delicate so having a sewing machine to repair seams is advisable.

I purchased several of these, in different colours. They are all beautiful, flattering , great fit but very see through. Probably best to wear a slip underneath.

I love this company and this particular dress serves many purposes for me from beach dress to yoga wear. I am a plus size woman and it fits well and flows beautifully. It also washes and wears extremely well.

Love this. It can be machine washed (on a gentle cycle) despite having a handwash only label. Being white, there is no colour loss so it can go in with other whites. It is extremely sheer so I wear it with a nude coloured full slip underneath. M & S do a great one which actually feels cool to the touch, doesn't cling at all and stops the dress clinging to a sweaty body in really hot weather.

Love the freedom of the dress but abit expensive for what it is

Beautifully embroidered dress, just what I was looking for! It is definitely maxi-length on my 5’5 frame, but not at all constructive. Extremely lightweight and flowy, because of this the white is a bit see-through, but not terribly so. It will be perfect as a beach cover-up.
