What are the dimensions of the base?

13 1/2 X 15 3/4 excellent quality - I’m extremely pleased w/puzzle board & base. Highly recommend it!

I left the top part, the board, in the past home i lived in. can i just purchase the board from you? not the base?

If you have the board up on the riser, can you then lower it so it lays flat with the puzzle staying in place?

I think it's safer to lift the board off the riser, lower the brackets to a flat position, and then lay the board down on the bracket. The board is not heavy and easily lifted. I think this way you can be confident that the puzzle pieces will stay on the board. I've been pleased that puzzle pieces adhere to the felt very well as long as you don't tip over the board.
