Not a bad little deep fat fryer but you do have to be ultra careful lifting the basket out of the oil at the handle is not fit for purpose and could be very dangerous. For the amount of times we deep fat fry anything, we can live with it.

only used once and cooked the chips ok. My problem is that I cannot remove the lid as no instructions with it.Lid needs to come off to empty it via the lip. Do not want to use too much force. Any advice.

Returned this item due it to having a continental two pin plug - not a lot of good in the U K unless you use an adaptor. Ordered a VonShef which I received in a few days complete with three pin U K plug.

I haven't actually used this fryer yet, mainly because it is a bit larger than I expected. It looks fine in every other detail, but I can't comment really as it is still in the box!

It's delightfully small and cooked my french fries to perfection. However, towards the last batch of my double-cooked extravaganza, it broke down entirely and never recovered. That was the first time I used it and - by necessity - the last.It is cheap and low quality, and - depending on your luck - you may get only one go. However, that one go is excellent.Even so, I'd recommend getting a higher quality appliance if you want to deep fry more than once.

Bought this as wanted to cook real chips and other food, Temperature doesn’t get up to top have checked it with my hand thermapen and gets to about 160 not 190 cooks chips well but takes a little longer but they did taste good, My only problem is they have put the poring spout at the rear left corner to empty the oil you can’t remove the lid so this is very clumsy and messy not a good design could put the spout on the front corner would be easier plus make the lid removable easy fix for makers.
