Silvia V1 Espresso Machine Maintenance Kit, Group & Steam Valve Parts With O-Rings

I used this to rebuild my Rancilio Silvia v1 machine. I've owned my machine for 16 years and had never done a rebuild. I just discovered that rebuilds are recommended annually. Because I waited so long, the old main gasket seal was extremely difficult to remove. The steam wand seat gasket was also a bit of a puzzle to figure out how to replace. All parts fit perfectly. My machine is running smooth again. I would only recommend this to people who are mechanically inclined.

The kit includes all the necessary parts and more. In my case I did not require the main group-head gasket or the diffuser. Looking at the various components I don't immediately see the value other than it saved me the trip to Home Depot and the time to figure out how to find the matching components.

After 10 years my trusty Rancilio Silvia started leaking at the steam wand end. This handy little packet of parts fixed that. Really all you need is the little o-rings and the little green washer - the rubber. Which makes this seem pricey, but not compared to having someone overhaul the thing. An easy job if you are a fixit type. Google for a great pictorial.

all the parts looked good, but my version of the V1 did not have a valve that could be taken apart. Therefor the o rings for it were of no use and I had to replace the wand with a new one.

We have had a Rancillio Silvia for at least 20 years and keep one of these on hand "for just in case purposes" When we use the back up we immediately order a new one....this is only the 3rd replacement....they last a long time and work perfectly

Installed it and my Silvia doesn't leak anymore :-)
