EGW Picatinny Rail Scope Mounts for Winchester 70 STD/LA (Pre 64) 0 MOA

Was a perfect fit, including the screws that came with the rail. Great quality and made for a nice upgrade to the rail system on my Marlin XL7 30-06.

Before installing a scope rail research carefully the screw hole hold down dimensions on your model, Winchester has differing dimensions model year and action type which are critical for mounting fit. I am surprised that vendors are not more reveling in product descriptions, you will need to measure what you have and research what you will need to fit. This product fit as intended and I am satisfied however significant time was spent to determine that this was the correct item required. If you are uncertain bring your unit to a smithy.

Perfect fit on my Pre-64 Mod 70 .308 Winchester! This does work on true Pre-64's as they are long action. The newer Pre-64's come in long and short actions, of which this would not fit the short action calibers.

I have a 1955 Winchester 30-06. It has never been modified. The two rear holes do not align. I drilled a hole and made it work so all is not lost. Also, this is not a 0 MOA rail. Mine appears to be a 20 MOA rail.I have made it work but was disappointed that it is not as described. Again, this is a common chambered 30-06 not an H&H magnum

I have a Pre 64 Model 70 30-06 (1959) and the rail fit perfectly. I did not have to modify in any way at all. Very happy with it and glad I got it.
