Good ball valve. No ripple required.
This was used on a pressure air line just past the regulator on the air compressor to isolate the air hose.

Valve was expected. It's a shut off valve. Appears to be 1/4 through the entire valve.

Brass Plated Ball, Failed Quickly
This valve started leaking after about five months of use. It was used to stop a small leak on a shower head while not in use, so turned on and off about once a day. I took it apart and the ball valve had pitted really bad, come to find out it is brass plated. It had deteriorated and started to rust, which had then accumulated and reduced the water flow in our shower head.

Perfect fit 1/4” NPT fitting!
This quality ball valve is a 1/4 turn on/off 1/4” NPT fitting for air compressors. The ball valve easily holds 90 PSI and has zero leaks. This made it very easy to put in-line with my compressor to air up my truck tires. Turning the valve off gives me the opportunity to accurately check tire air pressure, and also turns off the compressor due to the pressure switch. Highly recommended if you need an on/off valve!
