DO NOT BUY - Manufactured Incorrectly
This review is for the "R-1234yf manifold gauge set", not the "R-1234yf Recharge gauge and hose"The gauge set seems to be decent quality, but it is useless, because they did not machine out the the passages between the charging port (yellow hose connection) and the low (blue hose) and high (red hose). After figuring out what I thought was the issue with the gauge set, I decided to go buy a different set to confirm it was the gauge and not something strange with my vacuum pump or car. And sure enough, I was able to pull vacuum and charge my AC system.Learn from my mistake and instead of buying this set, go buy a R-134a gauge set from Harbor Freight and buy R-1234yf to R-134a couplers off of Amazon so that you can use it with the R-1234yf system on your car.

Work well. But why not include a can piercing valve?
The gauges look nice and work fine. I also ordered a piercing valve. When I got both in my hands I knew I was in for some learning pains. The yellow hose to connect to the refrigerant canister is 1/2" LH ACME thread. This may work with 10 pound tanks of refrigerant, but is a big problem when trying to connect to the self sealing can. For this you need a piercing valve, and the only ones I have found have an outlet that is 1/4" FLR (so it require a flare connection). These 2 things do not go together in any way that I could think of short of cutting the hose and using a barbed fitting (which works but you also need to flare tubing and make up some brass fittings). So, InterDynamics, I have a request. Just add an adapter in the box. It probably only costs $10 more and sure does make this learning curve less painful.

Works great. Car AC is now cold.
Spent a bit more for this hose and it was worth it. Really easy to use and was able to add refrigerant to my Dodge charger which is now nice and cool. The hose fits the can in the attached picture. Takes it a bit of force to push the hose in to the low pressure port.
