Beginner model!
This model is a very beginner level model. Tamiya has very good quality models normally, and this one looks like it's good quality, just very few parts and very little detail - no engine, for example. Fine for the beginner, but if you're wanting something a little more detailed and challenging this is not for you.

An over-priced beginner model
Very disappointed. Tamiya kits are known for their finely detailed parts and quality engineering. This kit is very much a 'beginner' model. There isn't even an engine, just an engine block molded into the pan. It could have/should have been a better model for the money. It was comparable to one of the AMT models I built when I was a kid.I've built Tamiya motorcycles and a couple of their Formula One cars and, for twenty-five dollars more, they offer a hell of a lot more fun and challenge. Those models were a pleasure to build and they are great to look at afterward. This purchase was big mistake; I'm going to drop it off at my local Goodwill.
