Sturdy, Effective, and Great for Recording
This pop filter delivers a noticeably professional performance. The construction is solid, with a highly stable gooseneck and clamp that lock firmly into place without sagging over time. The metal mesh provides clean and consistent plosive control while maintaining full transparency of the vocal signal, with no coloration or loss of high-end detail. For anyone working in voice recording, podcasting, or vocal production, this filter performs reliably and feels built for long-term studio use. A truly dependable piece of gear

Easily the Best Pop Filter for Your Money!
This is hands down the best pop filter I've ever used! The goose neck is adjustable and solid, the clamp feels sturdy, and the materials inspire confidence! I've owned generic nylon filters, the WindTech PopGard, the Stedman Proscreen XL ($50), and even the JZ PF (a $100 pop filter!!!). And at the end of the day, the Shure Popper Stopper wins hands-down. I should have tried this one out from the beginning. Is it more expensive than the nameless alternatives online? Yes it is. But not by much! And for how effective it is, it's worth every penny! If you're like me and just have issues blowing and popping your recordings, grab the Shure Popper Stopper. It's only $30 and it saves countless recordings! Even if a pop still makes it through, with the way the Popper Stopper is designed, it's more-than-easy to edit out with a little Hi-Pass spot treatment!

Works extremely well with the Shure PG42USB
I have virtually every round foam or metal pop filter. This one is the lightest in weight, which is good. My others tend to sag once positioned. I sometimes have to use a cable tie or velcro tie it to the shockmount just to keep it in place. This has a sturdy gooseneck, so it stays put. And I like that it is hinged at the base, allowing my to adjust it that way. Used with the Shure PG42USB, it absolutely stops the pops, even with my mouth 5" away. It's like the two were made for each other. I did get a bit more popping when using an AT2020USB+ at that distance.

Vintage King Audio Saved The Day!
After reading some reviews about the greatness of Shure's pop filter, I wanted to get one for my starter audio setup. It is awesome and feels high quality in its construction, and the one test I did certainly met my expectations. However, as I'm still learning, this review is more for the store I got the filter from, Vintage King Audio. It's not a paid review, but I couldn't review this the normal way, I think, but I want to write something because FedEx could not locate the original shipment and the folks at Vintage were super courteous, professional, and gave me very speedy assistance! They sent out another one and provided tracking and this time, I got it. I don't usually write reviews here, but I wanted to leave my two cents, as a way of saying that cool, friendly and well-intentioned customer service is very much appreciated. If this were for a project or something with a tighter deadline, such actions really can make or break our situations, so thanks!

Filter works. That mounting system, tho!
In an A/B comparison using my hand in front of my mouth while saying “P”, “B”, and blowing air—this filter WORKS! As far as inhibiting air flow and softening the plosives, this screen works. No question about it. The problem that I have with it and the reason it still sits unused in my mic locker is because it’s bulky and “rebellious”. LOL! You can adjust the angle of the filter in 3 ways; however, I had some issues. First, the clamp is a pentagon shape. This might work fine for mounting to a round mic stand like a floor stand, but this becomes fiddly when you’re mounting to a square tube. I have the Rode PSA-1 boom arm which is made of square tube. Also, typical of boom arms, each section of it is a set of 2 parallel tubes. The Shure bracket is bulky and doesn’t fit nicely on this sort of thing so I had to monkey with it more than I think should be necessary. Secondly, the flexible neck that holds the screen to the bracket has a mind of its own. I’d bend it in a U shape to position the screen and it would contort out to its own angle and put the screen where I didn’t want it. We had words over it, but in the end, the flexible neck turned out to be not so flexible with my demands. I ended up trying 4 different locations for the bracket in order to try to get the screen to sit where I wanted it. Each time, the “flexible” neck gave me fits and we never got along. At first, I was about to turn into a movie diva and scream, “I can’t work like this! I’ll be in my trailer!” Then I remembered I don’t have a trailer. So instead I had to put this pop filter in a long time out in the mic locker. I doubt I’ll try to work with this filter again. I’ll probably end up trying to find another voice actor to give it to—maybe a competitor who’s trying to audition for roles I want. LOL! I mean, Shure, the actual screen section of this kit works very well for its intended job, but the mounting and support system for it leaves some things to be desired.

Great value.
I purchased this for my boyfriend, who is a musician. It worked perfectly for his recording needs and vastly improved his previously unfiltered recordings. I will say that the filter material is fairly delicate--he punctured the screen relatively easily just moving it around. The tear didn't run and remained isolated to a spot near the edge. But if you just set it up and leave it, it will do a great job for you.

Fantastic Pop Filter!
I love this thing! Gets rid of most plosives and also helps cut down on sibilance. The resulting sound is clean and clear. Sturdy and well-built. Stays where you put it. Because Amazon doesn't sell this item directly anymore, I highly recommend buying through one of the 3rd party sellers-I bought from Vintage King Audio and they were fantastic to deal with.

I purchased this to attach to a RØDE PSA1 boom arm, and the quality of the build of the pop filter was what you'd expect from Shure. Once attached and tightened, it is very securely held in place, unperturbed by movement of the arm since. The filter side of things works very well, and makes a huge difference in reducing pops whilst being otherwise transparent to my ear. The filter is easily adjustable too. Overall, worth the money for the quality throughout, and good experience.

This was added to our voice over studio at a commercial radio station. The original one is over 5 years old and still in great condition. This was added to a second mic and is the same quality as the one we bought years ago. It's the real deal.
