Just get it.
It worked great. The urn has reasonable structure but we were delicate with it. It held plenty. We got it 50 % full. We released it at sea and it floated for for two minutes and then sank. The water wasn’t super choppy and it wasn’t flat. It made the process peaceful and efficient. I would recommend it. To me it was expensive but ultimately worth the cost because it made the process simple. Took the guess work out of the process. We’ve heard so many horror stories and we didn’t want that for my dad. This gave us peace of mind. It also arrived quickly. It was nice to know we weren’t harming wild life with plastic.

Lovely for water lovers
This urn was made very well and came in a beautiful bamboo box to keep it safe until the time that you needed to take it to your designated spot. We launched ours from the end of a dock. I would recommend getting out further into the water if at all possible (boat, paddle board, etc) because the flow of the lake pushed our urn under the dock so we had to retrieve it. It had already started to disintegrate as it was supposed to so our ashes didn’t get out into the lake far as we have would have liked. Regardless, I still highly recommend the urn itself. Also, make sure you read all the instructions asyou may need to add sand to your ashes to get to the right level in the urn, which is what we had to do

Beautiful, Respectful and Dignified
6/25/25: My family was so grateful for these beautiful eco urns on Saturday. There is no video as we had to take them to the other side of the river to release them. We purchased two, each one holding Mom & Dad. The eco urns performed exactly as described. Our community wrote their farewells on them with a set of markers we bought. Music blasting across the water, we put them in the current & the urns took off. We saw them drop a little, then the urns and flowers disappeared around the bend of the river We did keep them completely dry before release, that is part of what made it so picture perfect. Thank you for such a wonderful product ♥️ We would 10 out of 10 purchase them again

Simple, Peaceful and just Right
We used this urn recently to say our final farewells and it was exactly what we were looking for. It came very well packaged and the bamboo protective case was perfect for traveling. Once you applied the glue to the lid the ashes were held securely and when in the water it slowly dissolved jsut as described, making for a peaceful farewell. I really liked the ability for people to write personal messages on the side of the urn. It added a special, meaningful touch. Hopefully I won't need another anytime soon, but I'd definitely recommend it to others.

Worth the money!
My family and I wanted to spread my parents ashes in the ocean. I really didn’t even know how to go about it. My husband suggested I look into a biodegradable container to hold the cremains. Never even occurred to me. Long story short, I purchased this one. It held both my parents ashes. Very easy to use and fill and seal. It comes really well packaged. The urn itself is in a sturdy bamboo container. We dropped it in the water, threw out handfuls of flower petals. We watched it sink and the flower petals remain floating. The urn worked beautifully. I would suggest this to anyone who wants to spread loved ones ashes in any body of water. Well worth the money.

Makes a great presentation, but...
This well-made papier mache urn is solid and light, and came in a beautiful bamboo canister. It’s was nice to not have to carry the urn by itself, so the bamboo canister not only gave it a dignified touch, but it kept the paper urn from getting wet and any premature disintegration (especially near water until you’re ready). The urn comes with a paper cone so ashes may be transferred from the mortuary urn to the paper one, but it felt too flimsy to use so we purchased a cheap plastic funnel from the auto parts store (big wide top). Just slowly release the ashes and keep taping the plastic funnel until all the ashes settle into the urn. No fuss, no problem. Just go slow. And as a side note, you can ask your mortuary if you can bring your own urn. Ours was happy to put the ashes in it, but we decided we didn’t want to risk it getting wet anywhere. We only had one. As expected, a paper urn is purposefully light as our ashes ran to about 6 pounds (guessing based on what the mortuary said) and filled 60% of the urn. Directions tell you that it must reached 50% capacity in order for the product to “work.” Those who don’t make it to that 50% point can add beach sand to the urn to make up the difference. The problem with this urn is ours sank immediately. It was unfortunate that we didn’t have more of a “send-off.” A minute would have been great. Was it that we didn’t “glue” (Elmer’s glue stick provided) the top of the urn properly shut after adding the ashes? Did that allow air to escape and not trap an air pocket to help it float? We don’t know, and it look properly glued, but it didn’t work for us. Obviously ocean current and wind will play a part, but for the price (and the fact this is patent pending), we would have thought the manufacturer would have worked out the kinks in their trials. After all, we only had one shot at getting it right. Would I use this again? Hmmm... Yes. Because presentation was a big thing for us. BUT, I would make a makeshift balloon with a water soluble bag (the mortuary might give you one as they may use it for ashes if they know you may be scattering ashes in water) and add that to the urn’s top before sealing it. Would that work? I have no idea, but it was an afterthought to keep it afloat until water hits the balloon. We also have to remember anything put in the ocean needs to be eco-friendly (so no real balloons). Better yet, the manufacturers should come up with the solution so everyone buying the product has the same consistent results. Instead of a “good” product, make it a “great” product. Note: The bamboo case comes wrapped in dark paper. Underneath this paper is a light colored bamboo urn holder.

Biodegradable
This Urn was the perfect send off for my late husband. I took his ashes home to Hawaii and paddled him out into the ocean. It took about 3 to 5 min and he is now in his forever home. I was slightly worried about pouring in the ashes before we flew but the urns held up. The bamboo canister is beautiful.
