Bar-Tender's Instant Whiskey Sour Mix, 8-Count 4.7-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12)

THIS IS HARD TO FIND THE POWDER IN THE BOX, SOMETIMES I USE 1/2 OF PACKAGE TO MAKE A LIGHT WHISKY SOUR AND OTHER TIMES I USE THE WHOLE PACKAGE FOR MORE SOUR. ALSO THIS POWERED TYPE CAN BE KEPT IN THE CLOSET FOR A LONGER SHELF LIFE & DOESN'T TAKE UP A LOT OF ROOM, BUT IF YOU BUY A BOTTLE MIX , AS ONCE THE BOTTLE IS OPEN YOU NEED TO PUT IN THE REFRIGERATOR TO KEEP IT FROM SPOILING.

this product as been around a long time. Great flavor. I'm an old bartender. Here are some tips for a great whiskey sour. The mix says to add an oz of water. I usually don't add the water the ice in your shaker when you shake it up will do. For an even more flarvorfull coctail instead of the water i'll add an oz of a liquid sour mix. I like collins mix if available but any will do. The bar-tenders powder mix has the best flavor i have found and that extra oz of liquid mix with it just makes your coctail extra special. Remember to shake it enough or give the powder mix enough time to disolve. If you like your sour with a frothier top i suggest adding 1/2 teaspoon of frothing bar sugar. Most liquor stores don't stock it but amazon has it. Garnish with an orange wedge and cherry and let the good times roll!

I've been drinking this for years. Ran out and had to find it again. However, it doesn't seem that they've changed the recipe at all. I'm very happy with this and will buy it again. And the price was comparable to that in a liquor store. A smaller size would be nice (I had to buy 12 boxes, 3 or 4 would have been enough). It's better than any liquid because you can mix it to taste or strength and you know there are no preservatives or other substances in it. I mix it with Orange, Pineapple or Grapefruit juice and create a really good sour mix that my wife loves. Add an orange slice and maraschino cherry and YUM, you're good to go!

I grew up in the midwest and my family always had a box of Bar-Tender's Instant Whiskey Sour Mix at the ready for making the perfect cocktail. Forty years later I'm continuing the family tradition, but now that I live on the west coast I can't find these in the stores. Usually I stock up when I visit back home, but I'm delighted that I found them here on Amazon. These taste exactly as I remember them, and I don't think the recipe has changed at all over the years. This mix makes the best looking AND tasting whiskey sour with the perfect amount of foam. Top it all off with an orange wedge and a maraschino cherry -- classic cocktail heaven!

My favorite sour mix and it’s getting difficult to find in the local grocery store. Very happy that I can order a case and have it on hand since making whiskey sours is one of the family and friends favorite drinks. This is the best tasting sour mix that I have tried.
