The item description says it has a compass which is why I chose this one, but there is no compass on the ones I received. Works perfect, although pencil is has cracks in it now. Not sure if it is just cheap or diving 100ft was enough for pressure cracks. Was also a bit bigger than I was anticipating, but that’s my fault.

It is pretty hard to actually write on with the pencil - you have to push REALLY hard. Today I went to erase it and no luck. Windex, dish soap, a scrubbing sponge - and I can still read what I wrote last time. Thought this was going to simplify my life

Works well underwater. Only issue is that the protective covering on the pencil started to come off my first couple of times using it. However, it doesn't seem to have affected the pencil at all. Overall, it does what it's supposed to! I really enjoy it.

The slate is some kind of material that is incredible hard to write on. It works if you press super hard, but that will break the pencil. It feels like it’s just sliding around.

This slate works great. I clean it with a bit of bon ami cleaner and it's ready for the next use. I actually removed the coiled plastic retainer and use Velcro instead but that's just my preference.

Every good idea I've ever had happened in the shower, and I used to forget most of them! Now, I write them down right when I have them. Great board - jot your lists, reminders, notes for your spouse, or start that novel all while you are showering. Easy to clean, but writing stays until YOU remove it, even after repeated showers.

Writing won't erase.
