Nice rack 😂 for the price point
Dude, this thing is awesome for the price point! It was easy to install on my vehicle (Mitsubishi Outlander). I haven’t had any issues with the bikes fitting. They sit securely and don’t bounce at all! It’d be cool to have a way to lock my bikes for when we need to stop at a store or something, but I just fixed that with a bike lock.

Excellent Bike Rack for the Money
I bought this primarily to carry two bikes on a cross-country trip from NY to CA, and it worked exceedingly well on my 2025 Honda CR-V. Set up/installation was a breeze. It performed perfectly with no issues at all the entire drive. For long trips, it’s smart to check the straps at each stop and retighten if needed, but that’s true for any bike rack, even the expensive ones. I also recommend tying off the straps near the buckle to help from loosening and so they don’t flap in the wind. I also used simple Velcro straps to keep the tires from moving or spinning, and adding heavy fabric or leather scratch protectors anywhere the rack or bikes touch the car. Those small extras made everything even more secure. The rack folds down for easy storage when not in use. High recommend!

Works good, but it’s a little tight for 2 mtb
Perfect for a single bike. Relatively quick setup. If you’re not careful though when taking 2 mtb’s you will scratch your outer forks and brakes\levers. I recommend covering your fork and brakes/levers with a clean microfiber and Velcro strap before loading 2nd bike to minimize scratching. It’s a pretty tight fit with 2 mtb but overall it’s a secure system, was going 80mph down the freeway with 2 mtb’s and it held up. Fits easy in a sedans trunk when it’s not being used. Would definitely recommend for shorter trips, and for the price it’s a good product. 👍🏻

Works GREAT… fantastic value
I bought this bike rack for my 2013 Honda CRV (LX). I had gone to the Allen Sports website to verify that it would fit and it seemed like a great value and something that would work perfectly for me. I debated whether to purchase a one or two bike rack as I am the only one that rides, but I ended up opting for the two bike rack hopipng that my spouse would (at some point) become interested in riding as well. I will try to give some tips that will hopefully help you decide if this is a good fit for you, and also some tips on how to best use it: 1. Check the Allen Sports website to see if it will fit your particular vehicle. DO NOT take it at face value when reviewers on here say it DOES or DOES NOT fit a certain vehicle. They may not know how to install it, or they may be installing it incorrectly (i.e. unsafely) in order to ‘make’ it work. 2. The instructions for mounting the rack are fairly good but you really have to read them closely - ESPECIALLY when it comes to the bottom hook. The top and side hooks are fairly logical and self-explanatory… although make sure you use the correct hooks for top and side. The top hooks are bigger/wider than the side hooks, and the side hooks are also labeled. 3. KEY for certain vehicles - this is the issue that ALMOST made me think that this wouldn’t work for me (even though Allen Sports said it would). The bottom hook has several ways to be utilized, depending on your vehicle. The main issue is whether you have something metal to clip the hook to. Today many bumpers, and even the bottom of cargo doors are a hardened plastic, OR they have no ‘lip’ over which to clip the hook. This was the case for me… and even though I read the alternate ways to solidly connect the bottom hook, it wasn’t apparent to me at first. Ultimately, you don’t really connect that bottom hook TO anything, but instead open the trunk/cargo door slightly and put the hook inside and close the trunk/cargo door back, which secures the hook inside the vehicle and you just tighten the strap. 4. Depending on your car, and on your risk tolerance, you may want to consider using electrical tape around the hooks (some or all, depending on your vehicle) to help cushion and protect any paint. Since my vehicle is a 2013 it wasn’t an issue I was particularly concerned with but I did go ahead and opt to do it - figured it was easy to do and certainly wouldn’t hurt anything by doing it. 5. Definitely do something to secure the tires, to keep them from spinning, and inthe case of the front tire, to keep it from swiveling and hitting the vehicle. You can use the excess on the tie down straps, or just use a bungee cord. The rack works perfectly on my Honda CRV and is actually even more steady/firm than I was expecting. Overall I could not be more pleased and am ready to hit the road!

Great Bike Rack
Great Bike Rack for the Price! I used this Allen Sport trunk rack for a couple of trips and it worked perfectly. It’s easy to install, holds two bikes securely, and fits well . The straps feel strong and the rack stays stable even on longer drives. Great value and very convenient!

⭐⭐⭐ Allen Sports Trunk Mount Bike Rack for Two Bikes
The Allen Sports trunk mount bike rack for two bikes is a decent option if you’re looking for something affordable and easy to use. Installation is fairly straightforward, and it holds the bikes securely for short trips. The rack is lightweight and easy to store when not in use. That said, there are a few downsides. The straps require careful adjustment, and you need to double-check them before every drive to make sure everything stays tight. It also lacks padding in some areas, so extra care is needed to avoid scratches on the car or bikes. For longer trips or highways, it doesn’t feel as stable as higher-end racks. Overall, it works well for occasional use and short distances, but if you plan to transport bikes frequently or on long trips, you may want to invest in a more robust option. Good value for the price, but with some limitations.

Exceeded expectations; great product
1-year update: So far, so good! Still using this bike rack, no complaints. Original review: Ok, I don't usually write reviews, but I had to review this one. I was really worried about buying a bike rack for my transcontinental trip (7,000 miles coast-to-coast and many places in-between). I had nightmares of my bike falling off my car on the highway. But I took a chance and got this modestly-priced bike rack over a well-known, expensive brand like Thule, because I don't have that kind of money. I AM SO HAPPY. Not only was my bike rock-solid secure on the rack (with the help of locks and bungee cords, of course), and the rack extremely secure on my car (straps didn't budge an inch while in motion), but this bike rack can take anything. I drove up Pike's Peak in Colorado (14,000+ mountain), across the rain-soaked plains, over the Rocky Mountains, in crazy hot temperatures, in cool temperatures, in dry and wet climates, at all levels of incline, at 90 MPH on Utah highways, on bumpy, crazy park roads, and more. I'm just so glad that my bike was safe. The rack itself is very easy to mount, and you can technically still open your truck when it's mounted (although it'll be awkwardly heavy). Takes less than a minute to get it on the car, and about ten seconds to get it off. The ONLY issue I could have with this rack is that the pads that protect your car from the metal rack showed some serious wear after what I put them through (which is understandable). It's possible some of it even rubbed/melted onto my car. There's a mark on my car that looks like what happens if you rubbed a big rubber eraser on it. Now, I haven't thoroughly washed my car since the trip, and I'm 99% sure that this mark will come up no problem. If it doesn't, I'll come back and bump this review to 2 stars (edit: the mark came off). Otherwise, I'm extremely pleasantly surprised. Usually you get what you pay for, but this bike rack is a steal at just under $35. I can't believe it survived my road trip. Plus, I just used it yesterday and this morning for an overnight trip. So easy, so good.

Has lasted a year and still counting
I've had this on my sedan for a year now. Still holds up, won't scratch your car up as long as you remove pedals facing the vehicle, and properly mount the bikes.
