M-D Building Products 49010 1-3/4 in. x 1/8 in. x 36 in. Satin Nickel Aluminum Flat Profile Threshold for Interior Doorways

This is a very attractively finished threshold I installed on the concrete slab for the doorway between my workshop and my garage. I would have preferred the same threshold 1/8" higher and 1/4" wider, but one like that isn't available. My doorway threshold opening is 31" so I first cut off a couple of inches on each end to get a precise fit (I used a radial arm saw, but a hacksaw would have done as well). To install it, I used the smallest diameter masonry bit I have to drill holes matching the pre-drilled holes in the threshold, deep enough for the spiral round head nails supplied with the threshold. I drove plastic anchors into the holes I had drilled into the slab, then simply nailed the threshold down, very securely I might add due to the spiral on the nails. The result was exactly what I hoped for. The threshold is affixed tightly to the slab and looks great.

I bought this threshold to match the rest of the brushed brash in the white marble bathroom I just renovated. It looks really nice and makes a good transition from wood to marble tile! It was also very easy to cut to the right length with a jeweler's saw. I wish it was offered in wider widths so I could use it in my kitchen as well. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that it has to be nailed down in several places across the entire threshold. Even though it takes away from the sleek look a little bit, I still like it and stand by my 5 star rating.

As advertised threshold. Decent for light traffic areas as the it is relatively thin aluminum.

Very easy to install, perfectly fit my entrance, excellent product, i love it! Took me about 5 mins to install it, never imagine it could be that simple!

Fixed the problem by the door of linoleum curing up. Looks good.

Great price, east to use.

Perfect fit.... Ended up using some extra wood transition pieces to put over it. After I replaced by the front door rubber bottom there was a huge gap. Next up reweatherstrip where my anxious dog claws at the doors. Still a small gap but I couldn't get door to open or close so I had to trim the underdoor part. There was like a 1.5" gap across the whole door. Third pic shows where I attached the wood rubber transition strip which worked out great for me.

I bought a few of these to install after redoing my kitchen floor. They are easy to cut to size as you only need to score them a little on the edges then bend easily back and forth to snap a relatively straight and smooth line. However, they are pretty flimsy and dent very easily. I also had to return one because of poor finish and noticed another with some blemishes, but was able to cut that part out when sizing. They are decent enough for the money to get the job done, but I don't expect these to be long lasting quality.

Nice item spoiled a little by not having brass matching screws (steel supplied). luckily I have brass screws to match!
