HearSafe Ear Plugs - High Fidelity Earplugs for Musician, Concert, Drummer, DJ & Clubbing - Reusable, Comfortable - Noise Protection, Cancelling (Standard Size)

I have noise induced hearing loss and tinnitus, and was looking for good ear plugs to wear in loud environments, such as concerts. I did quite a bit of research and bought the HearSafe ear plugs based on various reviews. Because I have very tiny ear canals, it took a little practice to insert them properly, but once I got them seated correctly, they were reasonably comfortable. Indeed, I was able to hear people talking to me, but the earplugs clearly did what they were supposed to do in terms of filtering the sound of very loud music. I tested these at an extremely loud rock concert, where I was sitting close to the stage. This was a band that I had seen before. Compared to prior concerts, where my ears were not protected, I did find a noticeable difference in the volume when using the earplugs, and not surprisingly, in the quality of the sound. Specifically, the plugs are doing what they are supposed to do, filtering the sound. So what used to sound like a very large and loud sound, is quite a bit dampened. This is not necessarily a criticism, because, of course, the whole idea is to filter the sound from loud music and noise. It did take a little getting used to the quality of the live concert sound, and some of the "excitement" of the live concert sound was a little lost in the process. But again, that's the whole point. You have to give up something in order to preserve your hearing. All of that said, following the concert I noticed, when I removed the ear plugs, that my usual tinnitus was no worse than it normally is!! This was great, because typically after a loud concert my tinnitus is much, much worse. I am therefore very pleased to give these an excellent recommendation. I also like the cord that attaches to the earplugs so that when you remove them they can either hang around your neck or at the very least I don't drop them, never to be found again. On a minor note, I do find the metal case to be a little tight in space. You can only fit one set of the earplugs and the cord into the case, and just barely. And I am a bit afraid of squashing the earplugs in the small case. It would be nice to be able to fit the second set of filters as well. I therefore came up with my own case which works a little better. No big deal. I wholeheartedly recommend these to anyone with hearing loss who is looking to preserve what remains of our precious hearing at a reasonably small price. And still enjoy what life has to offer.

First time doing a true review. This product merits it!I ride a '02 Shadow 750 Spirit with stock pipes. I don't care for loud pipes and constant wind noise. Silly I know that I ride but it's what I love to do. I found these plugs and let me tell you they are the real deal!All crap noise is muted to very tolerable. I wear a Sena Outrush R helmet with Bluetooth enhanced talk and audio. I can hear anything from audio books, pod cast, music and especially surprising enough phone calls crystal clear with these plugs in and not at full volume hammered down in the left lane possibly pushing the needle a little farther over the suggested speed limit. I cannot reccomend these earplugs enough. Trust me, when you are used to wearing these and forget to put them in the diffrence is astounding!A word of advice tho, they can easily be inserted in too far and it quickly is uncomfortable and sometimes can get painful. Make sure you have tweezers or a friend handy in case the handy lanyard disconnects from the plug and you cannot get a finger hold on it and panic starts to set in. ( i ended up superglueing my plugs to the lanyard attachment and now they stay tied to the inside back of my helmet and I always have them without fear of thinking where are my dang Earplugs.Clean up is quick and easy with alcohol and a qtip.An additional lanyard would be awesome since you get 2 sets of plugs in the handy canister.I have already purchased a back up pair. It is now coming upon a year of use of the original first pair experienceimg no signs of wear. Now that I have my system worked out I think these are above and beyond awesome. I have refered these to neumerous folks for diffrent uses. But motorcycle riders do love them.I will for sure repurchase in the future if need be.

I haven't tried too many earplugs for comparison, but I've been very pleased with these. I use them for concerts. They filter out maybe just a touch too much of the higher frequencies than you'd want, but otherwise sound good and are comfortable for longer wear.

Works great, tight seal for maximum hearing protection. And comfortable!
