This is really cute. The drawer opens at bottom when you open lid at top. A very young child might push or pull on the drawer and break this feature. It has a warning band on it. Should be specified in description. No problem for me--ordered for an 11 year old.

I was a little disappointed in the jewelry box to be honest. It's made of plastic, and looks cheaper than the photos appear. And for the price I paid, I think it should have been nicer.

We bought they for our 2 year old daughter, and she has found multiple purposes for it, including storing her jewelry, baby clothes and many other fun items... Made well and holding up to the hands of a 2 yr old.

Just wanted to point out that the box is not a metallic material as said in an earlier review, but it is as is stated made of plastic. The box is very flimsy and my 4 yr old broke it within a week. Don't mean to annoy the previous reviewer in any way, just warn any prospective purchasers. Very pretty box 'though.

Beautiful jewelry box! Sturdy metallic material and full of compartments for many items. It also plays swan lake upon opening. I can't say enough good things about this product. This is perfect for a little girl's first jewelry box.
