The geometric design of these succulent pots is both fashionable and practical. Their unusual shape makes them eye catching and allows for a nice, wide base so that the pots have a balanced appearance rather than the traditional top-heavy design of clay pots. The architecture and style of the pots make them appear to be slightly larger than they actually are. Inside space is pretty typical of a small pot, which does limit the size of succulent you plant. I didn’t find this to be a rating issue because it’s clearly stated in the ad criteria. I mention it only in relation to appearance versus size. Each pot has a good, solid feel and is not light or flimsy. The bottom features a drain hole, allowing it to drain excess water into a bamboo coaster-style base, which does mitigate over-watering. This base is attractive and adds to the appeal of the pot design; however, it’s very shallow and overflows quickly. Since I have my pots inside, this is a consideration, although I agree, as marketing information attests, that they would be equally appropriate and attractive when used in an outdoor setting. Regardless, you should be aware of this feature for any surfaces potentially damaged by water. I believe the price is appropriate for quality and would not hesitate buying them as a gift for succulent enthusiasts.

These are cool little planters. I was a little worried when I started planted seeds, because the plate that collects the extra water is very small, but I did not have any sort of problem from this. Since these pots don't sit in big plates or bowls like other planters, I think that they look better than other pots, like something something that an artist would put in a still life painting composition.I planted cat grass in these little pots, which showed me a few interesting characteristics of them. Due to their design, these pots are sturdy and do not make a large mess when knocked over. I had them placed around my apartment for my cats to chew on, and I only had a few tiny messes to sweep up and no broken pots that tend to result when the cats dig out the plant roots.Also, due to the tiny size, I would not recommend growing grass or any other plant that has larger roots. The cat grass that I planted grew to 8 inches in a week, and then a week later, the grass' roots choked itself out when they took over the tiny pots. I would recommend choosing the plants for these pots carefully. Otherwise, you will have to replant something new every two weeks.I think these pots would be a great gift for friends or family. I know that my watercolor-painting aunt would adore them in blues or yellows.Also, because these pots are sturdy, you know the gift's recipient will not get broken pots in the mail.

These are really cute planters. Unfortunately, the charcoal colored planter arrived broken in the package. Therefore, I can only review the white and gray planters. The pot is 3 inches tall. The opening is pentagon shaped. There is a 1/4 inch hole on the bottom for drainage, so you can plant live plants. The bamboo coasters are attractive, but with water draining on it, it can become stained or warped. I planted succulents in them, because they don’t need much watering. Although herbs and cacti are good alternatives. I start new succulents from cuttings all the time and this set of three sleek and simple geometric planters makes it easy. Half the time I lose track of new cuttings when I pop them into a pop outside, but with these, I can keep them on the kitchen counter in the sunlight and they thrive while looking great.The pots are big enough that it would be fine to use them for more permanent plantings or air plants, too. There's a small drainage hole in the bottom of each planter and they have small light-colored wood plates to sit on so your table or counter won't get damaged.This set would make a wonderful gift for any plant lover. The white, black, and gray neutrals are the perfect background for vibrant greenery.

I have a jade plant that need regular pruning so it doesn't get out of hand. I'm trying to make it look bushy instead of tree-like. When I cut off the branches, I like to replant them so they can continue growing and I can give them as gifts! The jade plant was a gift from my father, so I feel like I should keep spreading the gift that makes me feel good too. These little pots are perfect for that. Putting the cuttings in these pots helps them to grow and gives the space they need to flourish. When things are cleaned up, I will post photos. They are such nice neutral colors, they go in any space in any home, kitchen, bath, etc!

That pretty much says it all about these pots. Cote, little, and I feel more for a gift-giving pot than a working grow pot. More decorative the hard working. Even though I read the size before ordering, they were still smaller than I thought they might be. Approx. 3 inches from tip to tip on the geometric design, and about a 2 ½ inch opening at the top for your plant. The design is attractive and different from your average plant pot, which I find pleasing to the eye. The ceramic is glazed shiny on the outside, and appears unglazed on the inside, with a small hole in the bottom for drainage. The saucers that come with the plants are a shallow dished tray, which doesn’t hold much water, so you’ll need to be careful not to overwater your plant, or it will go all over.

I love these super cute succulent pots! They are modern and simple. I appreciate that they have a drainage hole, and that they come with small coaster-type pieces to put underneath them. My only complaint- one was smashed to bits. I feel that's an Amazon/packaging/shipping issue, not an issue of the planters themselves, so I have not removed any stars for that. As long as yours all come intact, I highly recommend them!!
