Cool scan tool
I was worried after seeing all the reviews from the other manufacturers of the same looking box. But figured I'd give it a try.I'm glad I did. It works perfectly. Plugged it in, red light comes on, paired it with the phone and password "1234" and the Torque app on my Android phone started communicating with it immediately. It blinks a lot of lights when it's communicating. Although, I don't really see them as in my car the adapter is turned with the lights toward the door when it's closed. No big deal, it's probably better that way, no crazy blinking lights at night. The adapter does become a little warm after use, but not hot.I have not decided yet if I should leave it plugged in when I don't drive. The adapter stays on with one red light lit (obviously the OBDII port is active when the car is turned off for fault analysis etc...) but I'm not sure how much power the adapter is pulling when idle and I don't want to have a dead battery when I get in the car one morning.Pros Easy to Use, high quality and works greatCons: none I've found so farI received this product at a discount or free in exchange for my honest review. The opinions expressed her are unbiased and 100% my own. I review products based on my personal experiences and leave reviews reflecting those experiences.

Total Failure
I have a 1997 Isuzu trooper and ordered this particular reader online because the seller stated it was compatible with my vehicle.Connectivity: the Bluetooth connects perfectly to the S4 however the reader could not communicate with the vehicle via all the available protocols and using multiple applications.Windows Software: Piracy, using key generators (which is why the user receives Virus Alerts).Cost: The original price is acceptable only if the device works, however, and in my case, it costed me about USD 25 since I ship all my orders to Lebanon (Middle East) via a fast courier service.Bottom Line: Do not waste your time and your money.

A great product and a real value!
When I first plugged the device in, I could not get it to pair with my Android phone. I put it aside to play with at a later time. The next day, out of the blue, the supplier called me and asked how I liked the scanner. I told the caller I could not get it to pair, but I would try again later. She sent me a link to a YouTube tutorial and offered a full refund if I wanted it.I followed the steps on the tutorial and everything works just fine now. I am most pleased when i get unexpectedly good customer service as I did from this supplier. The software that comes with the scanner is easy to use and understand. I have to explore the depths of the interface to see what all it can do. I can really see what is happening under the hood of my new 2015 Chevy Volt.I highly recommend this product for anyone and can't speak highly enough about the quality of customer service.

Imports (mostly) only!
Although the Amazon page said its a match for my '02 Town & Country, the included paper listed mostly import makes as compatible (mostly Asian, a couple European, an American make or two). It pairs up fine with my phone & several obd2 apps I have, but can't communicate with the vehicle. I guess it works fine so I won't 1-star it, but the page should fixed so that it won't show up an an "exact fit" for vehicles it won't read. It was so cheap that returning it will be a waste after shipping, so I guess I'll see if anyone I know that drives an import wants it.EDIT - Worked on a friend's '09 Dodge Journey perfectly, so I gave it a new home.

Just What I Needed
Like another reviewer I was a little concerned by the negative reviews but figured for $10 why not give it a shot? I did notice that many of the negative reviews were from iPhone users upset that it didn't work with their iPhones even though the description states Windows and Android only (maybe this was added). Anyway, I had it hooked up to our 2013 Chrysler minivan and paired with my Note 8 in a couple of minutes. When I opened the torque app it was already showing data from the vehicle. I called up the fault code, had it translated to a description (emissive control system leak aka loose gas cap), fixed the problem and reset the fault. Certainly faster and cheaper than taking it somewhere. If you've got an Android device and your car model falls in the designated years this should be a no brainer.

Didn't work for me, but it claims it should have
Unfortunately, this unit doesn't like my 2007 Chevy TrailBlazer. My truck is plenty new enough to work with ODBII tools like this, which claim it works with everything after the 1990's. It does work, it does pass info to my app on my iPhone, but it screws with my truck's computers causing it run funny and trigger engine lights. Therefore, I cannot use it on my vehicle... so it is pretty useless to me. Check other reviews to see if other people have experienced this same behavior before you make a decision.

Did not work for my 97 Lexus SC400 or ES300
*UPDATE* The company contacted me and a very nice woman talked me through connecting, which still didnt work, but they provided me with a full refund without requiring return of the product. Great customer service!***Bought this use with my 97 Lexus Sc400, but when I plugged it in, it connected to my phone, but didnt work at all. I tried using it with the Torque app supplied on the mini disk, but the unit would not connect to my ECU for some reason. Though my car does work with standard obd2 readers at Autozone.I then tried to use it on my Lexus Es300, and it didnt work on there either. I also got an error message from the Torque app saying there might be something wrong with the adapter. I'm not sure if it was a faulty unit, if it doesnt work with my particular cars, or if it just doesnt work with the Lexus brand at all... though other users have reported that it works with toyota which would theoretically have the same design.
