These DO NOT work properly with the Nespresso Vertuo. They do not brew the coffee you put in the capsule correctly and are extremely difficult to clean up. It gives you less coffee in your cup than a regular Nespresso pod would, and it tastes burnt. You would have to brew with this pod 2 or 3 times just to get enough coffee to enjoy a cup. Since they are stainless steel you have to wait for the pod to cool down before you retrieve it from the waste bin of your machine. This creates an issue when you want more than just an ounce of coffee because you have to go clean the pod, smack the coffee out of it, and wash the pod just to use it again. I returned this and just went back to my regular pods. This is not worth the money or the hassle.

Way better than expected! I bought 2, because the draw is espresso-sized and I like a double-shot. When it comes out of the Nespresso machine it’s hot, and takes a minute or two to clean out and reload for second shot. I love the way it works perfectly with my favorite coffee.

Well-built. The metal construction feels good to the touch, and it seems like the manufacturing tolerance are pretty tight as everything fits together well with no apparent gaps. I have no doubt it will last for a long time. That said, it's not as effective as I'd like. I have tried grinding my beans many different ways - from somewhat fine to very fine to ultra-fine (think Turkish coffee grind). Tried packing the grinds in many different ways - loosely, moderately packed, and very compressed. No matter what I do the machine just doesn't seem to pull the water through these grinds nearly as well as pre-packed Nespresso pods. I gave it a month or two and tinkered as much as I could, but this just isn't what I was hoping for. I'm past the return window so I'll keep it for those rainy days when I am out of Nespresso pods, but it's not a go-to by any stretch.

I typically don’t write reviews BUT this product actually works for the most part. The metal part that comes is useless BUT the two brown pods that it comes with works great and if you’re patient with adding your powder & applying the sticker top (I strongly recommend using the Nescafé espresso powder & the stickers are so cheap to buy a pack!) AND you make sure to watch it come out so you can stop it if needed then it works SO good. I would give it a 5 if it was easier to put the powder in and if it came with directions for the metal piece.

Does not work, wish I would have tested it sooner, actually took a lot of work to get my machine to work again after trying it. When I put this cup in, the nespresso machine made a lot of noise and shook, if yours does this stop immediately.

Ok. I'm glad I ordered this product despite the number of negative reviews. I believe that everyone that gave a low rating is not following the instructions and did not pay attention to the description. First of all, this is the SMALL coffee capsule. You must grind the coffee to a very fine grind and ensure you pack and press the coffee grounds well into the capsule. Also, ensure that the capsule is sealed completely. I put it into my Vertuo Plus machine, I pressed the button once, and guess what? It worked! My advice is that if you feel the coffee is too light, then run it a second time. That is what I did, and it yielded more coffee. It was flavorful, and it had the crema as well. The capsule is of good quality. Beware that it will be very hot after the brewing process. This company sells the larger capsule. I might order that one as well.

This product worked for me. I was hesitant to buy it because of all of the negative reviews, and the note from Amazon that it is frequently returned. For me, this product is working perfectly. I have the exact machine that is in their picture, so I did not have compatibility issues. Also, I understand that this will only give an espresso shots worth of coffee. For people who were complaining that they didn’t get enough coffee, it’s possible that they are trying to make a cup of coffee, instead of a shot of espresso. I like it so much that I’m buying a second one. The only thing I would say that I don’t love about it is that if you’re trying to have more than one shot of espresso, the capsule is very hot right after you make the shot and it’s difficult to use it to make a second shot right away. That is why I’m buying a second one.
