What else should i buy besides the hot dog? any kind of rope? i have a pump for my inflatable kayak, will that work for this? what about connectors?

I have a 50' ski rope to tow behind our pontoon boat. I think there are 3 separate chambers to inflate before use. Our electric pump has an adapter that fits 3 or 4 different size inlets. Out 3 kids love this, it is very stable.. highly recommend.

What is the miminum age this would be appropriate for? Would a small (35 pound) 5-year-old be able to go on it alone?

I would say yes. It's very smooth. We had a small 3 year old on it and she loved it but there was an adult behind her. Usually we have 1 adult with 1-2 kids.

How do you plug up the air hole in the middle part where the kids sit. We bought one and blew it up but there was no way to plug the middle . Are we ?

Should have came with a valve/plug. If you haven't found it I would suggest calling airhead. If you go to their website it walks you through how to contact them.
